Parker Selby fundraiser set Nov. 5

Friends for Stell Parker Selby will hold a yard sale fundraiser from 12 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 5, at 524 Mulberry St., Milton.

Monies raised will support Parker Selby in her campaign for the District 20 seat in the Delaware House of Representatives. The yard sale will include items like backpacks, boots, and clothing for men and women.

There will also be hot dogs, potato chips, cupcakes and water for sale.

Greater Lewes election forum set (10/28/2022, 6pm)

The Greater Lewes Civic Coalition will host an election forum at 6 p.m., Friday, Oct. 28, at Lewes Public Library.

Participants will be candidates for Delaware Senate, Russ Huxtable and Steve Smyk; and candidates for the Delaware House of Representatives, Stell Parker Selby and Dallas Wingate.

The event will be held in person, with no online version.

The purpose of the coalition is to promote good government in Greater Lewes and knowledge of how it works, and to provide forums for citizens to discuss issues of importance among themselves and with their elected officials.

RD20 Dems to meet Oct. 20

The Delaware 20th Representative District’s Democratic Committee will hold its regular monthly committee meeting at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, at Grotto Pizza Grand Slam, Lewes. An informal social gathering for Dutch treat dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. with a chance to visit with RD20’s committee members and Democratic candidates.

The primary focus of the meeting will be on opportunities to work on activities to get out the vote for candidates Stell Parker Selby, State House District 20, and Russ Huxtable, Delaware 6th Senate seat.
