Semi-final will be held on 13/3/2021 at Sunway University JC3.

The whole process of Semi-final will be recorded as video and broadcasted through Facebook Live.

Contestants are required to choose a song to perform based on on the genre that has been drawn. The genres include pop song, rock song and folk song.

Contestants are allowed to sing by using background music or with their own music instruments.

The lyrics of performing song must include at least 80% of Chinese words or Chinese dialects. Any songs with contents of violence, sex, politics, discriminations, religions and other inappropriate contents are strictly prohibited.

The order of performance will be decided by drawing lots.

Contestants are recommended to take their meals before the Semi-final starts and are not allowed to leave their seats during the Semi-final without any permission.

Contestants are required to inform the person in charge for toilet break, otherwise the contestants will be disqualified.

Songs chosen to be performed during the Semi-final will be confirmed by the main organiser beforehand. Contestants will be disqualified if they change their song for Semi-final without permission.

Performance of contestants in the Semi-final will be evaluated by 90% from the judges and 10% from the public votes.

8 finalists will be selected from the Semi-final to proceed to the Grand Finale of The SunVoice 5.

The results of Semi-final will be announced by the main organiser through the Facebook page, which is expected to be on 24/3/2021.
