We stayed during August of 2023. To call this a cabin is an understatement since it is so much more. It is a large, spacious home with spectacular views and all the modern conveniences added. The furnishings are comfortable and fit with the rustic mountain feel. The kitchen and bathrooms are clean and modern. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, dishes, glassware and a supply of condiments needed for onsite cooking. An outdoor gas grill is available for grilling on the large wrap-around deck (one of 2). Outdoor seating is ideal for scenic dining or lounging. There were only 3 of us (this time) but It can easily accommodate 2 families with it’s multilevel design allowing for as much privacy or togetherness and you may want or need. It is an easy trip to Murphy for shopping or dining in many high quality restaurants. Trout streams, waterfalls, rafting, hiking trails and parks are within easy driving range. Bryson City, Cherokee, North Georgia mountain towns and the Smoky Mountain Natl Park are nice day trips from this terrific home base. We look forward to going back and the host family strives to keep this destination spectacular.

This house was just what we needed for a peaceful relaxing vacation to just get away from it all. The views alone were breath taking and the house it self was warm and welcoming with snacks and coffee on hand. The host left us a “things to do and see” list in the area, among other things, and we hit a hiking trail with waterfalls everyday we were there which was so much fun for the adults and teens! Coming from Florida it’s not anything like we’ve seen before. The host was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had.
We’re already talking about going back in the summer and fall!

Frank’s list was everything it described and showed in photos. It was a great place in the middle of all the activities we had planned for our vacation. They had just about everything we needed from pots and pans, cooking oil, towels, bedding, etc. There was only two of us for our stay this time, but there is so much more space then I expected great for a bigger family’s and groups. Now the view is one of the best parts and the sunset are amazing! Definitely worth the stay!

Perfect getaway
We have stayed at other cabins before in the area but this place was by far the best we have stayed in. It was only the two of us and the house could have housed a large family, plus! The home has everything you need and then some! What stands out is the views of the mountains and watching the sunsets. Seen deer and turkeys while there also. Would love to come back in the fall to see the that view! Would highly recommend. We had the most relaxing time!

A little piece of heaven!
The owners did not oversell this property one bit. It was everything they said and then some. The house is beautiful, clean, well supplied and had many little extras. The view, especially at sunset, is indescribable! God put on a show for us every night! Perfect place. Perfect host. I want to give it 10 stars!

Gorgeous mountain view!
We had a lovely stay in this home with a gorgeous mountain view! The porch over looks the mountains and is a great place to spend an hour or three, reading and relaxing. A comfortable sofa in the living room awaits when it gets dark outside. The kitchen is well stocked with the essentials. The owner left snacks in a basket which is a nice touch. Also, information on some local restaurants is provided. We enjoyed eating lunch at Julie's Place which is not too far away. We like to bring some of our own groceries so that it isn't necessary to run out for every meal, especially breakfast. We enjoyed our stay in the mountains!

This cabin was absolutely wonderful. It was exactly as described. We booked this way before Hurricanes Helene and Milton caused such havoc for North Carolina and my home state of Florida. We were given regular updates on the state of the area (which was thankfully spared by Helene) and were given the option to reschedule if Milton was going to cause issues for us. The most thoughtful host ever! We would totally recommend this place and would stay here again anytime. This area has a lot to do within an hour or two but is far enough away that the return home each night was extremely peaceful. It was perfect for our group.

We really enjoyed our week long stay I. Murphy! Marvin, our host and relative of Frank’s, was extremely responsive and helpful. I was a little nervous driving up the mountain to the cabin the first day we arrived but our Toyota Sienna handled it just fine and by day three it was no big deal. It’s winding, skinny, and steep but paved. The cabin views are absolutely unmatched and the location is amazing. Downtown Murphy is quaint and not overrun by tourists (we visited Ellijay, Bryson city, and Blue Ridge during our stay and Murphy was my favorite). The Cabin was clean and as described. The kitchen is extremely well stocked and I brought a lot from home but really didn’t need to- we cooked a full Thanksgiving meal and I found most everything I needed. I appreciated Marvin’s helpfulness when we couldn’t get the fire place to light on our super cold day (we did eventually get it!). Also cabin location was great for day trips to Bryson city, Ellijay etc. Highly recommend!!

The cabin was incredible.... Everything you needed was there. The view was amazing every morning and every evening. Only issue for us since we are not used to driving in the mountains was going up the narrow road to the cabin. There was a video to show us on Airbnb so we were warned.

An amazing house and location!!! The house was more than big enough for the three of us. It would easily fit 3+ couples with plenty of privacy. The house was very well appointed and had everything we needed for our stay. The views and sunsets were unbelievably spectacular and there were lots of birds, squirrels, and even some deer. The internet was perfect allowing me to work remotely with no problem. If we’re ever in the area again we would definitely love to stay here again!
Thanks so much for letting us stay. We truly felt at home and we’re all sad to leave.

I have stayed on Raccoon Ridge 2 times. The Outlook home is prefect for family and friends to spread out and have their own space. Of course the home has million dollar views so you can just breathe. I am already making plans to come back next year for a longer period of time. The kitchen was supplied was condiments, spices, coffee, tea, sandwich bags, paper towels, etc. Host was always available for anything. TV & wifi were perfect too. Great place.

We rent VRBO every year. This was the nicest equipped place we have ever stayed. It way over exceeded our expectations. The furniture was very comfortable. There was an incredible view from the mountain site.

We had a wonderful Christmas week at Murphy. The lovely, cozy house with a stunning view made our time perfect. The view is unbelievable and the different walks in the woods nearby made our stay complete. Thanks again to the fantastic host, who is very nice, welcoming and caring about his guests. The kids loved the house a lot, that they couldnt understand why we left after a week they enjoyed the games, their own space and a walk in the area nearby.
