Sungyeop Jung

Associate Professor, Korea University Sejong Campus

Sungyeop Jung joined the Department of AI Semiconductor Engineering in Korea University Sejong Campus in September 2024. Prior to KUS, he was a senior researcher at Advanced Institute of Convergence Technology, Seoul National University, from August 2020 to August 2024. he was a Research Professor and Postdoctoral Fellow at Department of Creative IT Engineering and Future IT Innovation Laboratory at Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) . He received his Ph.D. in Semiconductor Physics at École polytechnique, Paris, France ('17). He completed his dual M.S. program ('14) in Innovation Technology: engineering and entrepreneurship at École polytechnique, France and in Information Display at Kyung Hee University, Seoul, Korea. He received B.S. degree ('11) in Information Display at KHU.

His research has been recognized with KFPE Young Scientist Award (2025), E-MRS Young Scientist Award (2015), and Merck Young Scientist Award (2011).
