SummerSing 2026 Class Descriptions
Please note that classes marked 4th/5th are only offered for participants who have completed 4th or 5th Grade. We will do our best to place students in their top choices. All classes are not available at all hours, in all age groups. Requests are filled on a first come, first serve basis. Sorry, no guarantees. If a class is not shown in the list on the registration, it is no longer available. Only students who have just completed 4th or 5th Grade are eligible to take classes marked as 4th/5th. Likewise, only students who have just completed 2nd or 3rd may choose a class marked 2nd/3rd. If a class is listed in red on the registration form, that means it is no longer available. If classes listed in red have 2nd/3rd or 4th/5th next to them it means it is full for the listed grade level only. If you choose a class your child is not eligible for, it will be removed from your registration.
* Classes marked with an * will be working with food so if you have dietary restrictions, food sensitivities or food allergies, please consider choosing a different class. We will do our best to meet the needs of students with food allergies where necessary but are not able to accommodate special requests in these classes.

Awesome Art (4th/5th) - Discover the world of color with your paintbrush! Learn basic art strokes, techniques, and appreciation for God, our Master Artist. (For beginners-intermediate knowledge)
*B.A.S.I.C. Training (Body and Soul in Christ)* - Explore new and exciting ways to train your body and strengthen your faith through fun fitness activities & tasty nutritious treats.
*Be Our Guest* - Have fun learning practical etiquette skills like napkin folding, table setting, flower arranging, hand shaking and thank-you notes all while discovering how to show kindness, hospitality, and God’s love to others!
Bible Journaling A - Bring the Word of God to life through art! Discover creative ways to reflect on Scripture by illustrating and recording meaningful verses in your own unique and personal style.
Bible Journaling B (5th only, prerequisite Bible Journaling A) - Take your Bible Scripting skills to the next level with advanced tools.
Boomwhackers - Make joyful noise with these colorful, fun percussion tubes! Learn rhythm, teamwork, and how to worship God through music and movement!
Boys’ Boot Camp for Jesus (boys only) - Explore Jesus and His Handiwork hands on as you learn some fun sports techniques and other physical activities.
Cello (4th/5th) - Learn the basics of the cello and play a simple melody as you explore how music can be used to glorify God. Students will need to bring their own cello (rental info available).
CKV (4th/5th) - Learn how to write, shoot, and edit your own professional-style music video! From acting to editing, you’ll get hands-on experience in every step of the creative process.
Crafty Cricut Creations - Learn how to use a Cricut to make some fun shareable crafts.
*Creative Cakes* - Learn basic cake decorating techniques using fondant with hands on experience including rolling, piping and decorating your own individual creations.
Dance Experience - Each day, try a new style of dance - from ballet to tap - and learn how movement can be a beautiful way to praise and honor God!
Digital Design & Creation (4th/5th) - Learn fundamentals of creating digital images for use in video productions. This class is hands-on using professional, industry-standard applications & technology to bring imagination to the screen. Basic computer experience is recommended.
Duct Tape Designs - Create fun and useful items with a sticky twist. We will be using colored and patterned Duct Tape to make wallets, bows, bow ties, and more!
Gadgets & Creative Engineering - Use science, math, and engineering to solve fun challenges and build cool creations while discovering how creativity and problem-solving reflect our awesome Creator!
Geocache - A high tech outdoor treasure hunt for all ages! Learn to use a GPS to locate and hide "geocaches" or "caches".
Guitar - Learn basic chords, strumming, and how to play worship songs on the guitar. This is a beginner class for those with less than 2 yrs experience. You will need to provide your own acoustic guitar or rent one for the week. (rental info available)
Harp A (2nd/3rd) - Build a simple harp and learn how to play beautiful sounds while discovering how music can reflect the peace and beauty of God’s creation.
Harp B (4th/5th) - Already reading music? Learn to play the harp and perform a song by the end of the week! A perfect class for students who want to explore this unique and elegant instrument.
In Stitches A (For those who have little to no machine sewing experience) - Learn to sew the basics; buttons, hems, and make a project to take home.
In Stitches B (For those with some experience using a sewing machine) - Expand your sewing knowledge & skills.
*Incredible Edibles* - From yummy food to edible slime, learn how God’s creation works together to form new textures and tastes and. Learn how to create easy recipes from appetizers to desserts.
Jammin Jump Rope - Learn how to have fun and get some great exercise with friends learning skills in single rope, long rope and double dutch areas of jump rope.
Just Bead It - Get creative & crafty with colorful beads! Design unique beaded projects that are fun to make & even more fun to share while learning how God strings together the details of our lives with beauty and purpose.
Let’s Move! - A choreography/movement class learning a song for our mini-musical/Family Night. Must attend Family Night on Thursday night to participate.
Lights! Camera! Action! - Stretch your imagination and acting skills through games, improvisation, and group fun! A great class for future stars who love drama and aren’t afraid to be a little silly.
Martial Arts (4th/5th) - This class is designed to instill discipline, improve physical fitness, teach self-defense, and deepen understanding of martial arts history. Students will engage in detailed training across multiple styles.
Music Production & Recording (5th only) - Learn what it takes to be a music producerl! In this class, you’ll explore how to arrange, record, and produce music using digital tools turning your ideas into a song you can share and celebrate for God’s glory.
No Business Like Show Business - Learn the skills needed to be a "triple threat" in Musical Theatre: singing, acting, and choreography. Must attend Family Night on Thursday night to participate.
Orff & Drum - Learn rhythm & teamwork while making music with a variety of instruments like xylophones, djembes, congas, and more.
Origami - Explore the ancient art of paper folding and turn simple paper into birds, flowers, planes, and more! Discover how something ordinary can become extraordinary!
Outdoor Survival - Learn skills and participate in activities to prepare you for outdoor survival situations.
*Pampered Hearts for Jesus! (girls only)* - Create crafts to pamper your outward beauty while you allow Jesus to beautify your heart.
*Perfectly Planned Parties* - Create a party everyone will adore! Use stamping, paper piecing, and other creative mediums to make invitations, decorations, and party favors for an unforgettable party experience.
Piano Skills A - Learn to identify every key on the piano and play some simple songs.
Piano Skills B - For those who know the notes on the piano and have previous piano experience.
Pipe Cleaner Creations - Twist, bend, and shape colorful pipe cleaners into animals and more while exploring the creativity of our amazing Creator!
Ready, Set, Build! - Drill, Saw and Paint your way to creating theatrical sets and props that will be used to support the Family Night Presentation.
Say Cheese (4th/5th) - Learn the basics of photography using your own camera and discover how photos can tell stories, capture beauty, and bring glory to God! (Students must bring their own digital camera.)
Scrapbooking & Paper Crafting - Create keepsakes and paper projects that celebrate your memories and milestones. You'll learn fun ways to craft with purpose and joy!
Sign Language - Learn the alphabet, numbers, colors, animals, vocabulary and a song using sign language. Participants will learn a song for our mini-musical/Family Night and must attend Family Night on Thursday night to participate.
Songwriting (4th/5th) - Learn how to combine melody, rhythm, and lyrics to write your very own song! Discover how songwriting can be a powerful way to worship God and share your faith in your own unique voice.
Sowing Seeds for God’s Glory - This hands-on class includes both indoor and outdoor projects each day. Discover how to grow plants from seeds and learn what plants need to make them grow. Help tend our Memorial Courtyard Garden and create works of garden art.
STOMP - Create music with your body and everyday items that become your instruments.
Super Scientist - Explore Biblical truths through fun and interactive experiments using everyday ingredients. From galaxy jars to other amazing creations, you'll discover how science and faith go hand in hand!
Ukulele - Learn to play fun melodies while discovering how music can be a joyful way to worship God! Ukuleles are available to rent for the week with an option to buy and keep the music going!
Violin (4th/5th) - Learn the basics of the violin and play a simple melody as you explore how music can be used to glorify God. Students will need to bring their own violin (rental info available).
Vocal Skills - Learn the basics of singing using vocal techniques to develop your voice. Improve vocal strength & sound quality so you can sing with confidence. Participants will learn a song for our mini-musical/Family Night. Must attend Family Night on Thursday night to participate.
*What’s Cooking?* - Experiment with food and prepare sweet and savory recipes to share!
