Prof. Su Pei-Chen is an Associate Professor and Assistant Chair (Academic) at the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. She received her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering (with a minor in Electrical Engineering) from Stanford University, following earlier degrees from National Taiwan University. She joined NTU in 2011 and currently also serves as Cluster Director for Multi-energy Systems and Grids at the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N), and Vice President of the Thin Films Society.
Prof. Su’s research bridges microsystem technologies, thin film materials, and nanoionics, with a strong emphasis on energy conversion devices such as solid oxide fuel and electrolysis cells. She has led breakthroughs in nano thin-film SOFCs, including the commercialization of low-temperature, high-power density devices. Her work also extends to 4D printing of smart materials using vat photopolymerization, with ongoing efforts in AI-guided resin formulation and microscale additive manufacturing.
