Historical Research

Before any work is carried out in the field, the group will prepare a preliminary research report, including analysis of information held in: 

• the Historic Environment Record, 

• Public Antiquities Scheme, 

• Suffolk County Council Records Office, and 

• Suffolk County Council Archaeology Service 

as well as examining old maps, aerial and satellite photos and LiDAR images of the land.
