We do not recommend using an iPad or phone to work on courses in our program. Viewing classes on these devices may distort the view and restrict students' ability to take or submit quizzes. The best device to use is a desktop or laptop with Google Chrome as the web browser.
If the registrar has not sent you a confirmation email, we likely haven’t received it. You can also double check your main Student Account to see if a transcript has been uploaded by our team.
Please ask your school to email the transcript to records@excelhighschool.com.
Need help getting your transcript from the previous school? Email our registrar with:
Student's Name
Date of Birth / Student ID
Previous School Name & Location
Contact Person at the School
Contact Person’s Email & Fax
Processing may take 3–5 business days.
You will want to make sure to follow the steps from the welcome email you received after you enrolled. That will go over how to access everything. You can also view our guide for using LearnStage here. If you get stuck, please contact your success coach by calling the office. We are happy to help!
Students have the ability to switch courses for the first 30 days of enrollment. If you are thinking of switching out a class, please submit a help desk ticket, contact your success coach or contact us at 952-465-3700. A member of our support team can help you.
Pacing Tool: You can now set your own goals using the course planner tool! Just type in how many days you want to take to finish the course. The planner will help you create your own due dates.
You can change your plan anytime, and using this tool is totally optional.
To set your days, just click the ✏️ pencil icon.
Weekly Goals: A weekly plan can help you stay on track without feeling overwhelmed. Here’s how:
Count Your Assignments: First, add up the assignments left in each class. Then, divide that by the weeks you have until your goal date.
For example, if you have 112 assignments in Biology and 24 weeks to go, try to aim for 5 assignments a week.
Use Our Calculator: We also have a calculator to do this for you—click here to give it a try! It’s quick and helpful.
Track Your Progress: Parents receive a weekly progress report to check student progress and grades. Every week, we send a progress report to the emails we have on file. If you don’t see it in your inbox, be sure to check your spam folder. You can also:
Log into the Family Portal: In the portal, you can track your progress, or log in as the student to see individual assignments and grades.
Work at Your Own Pace: The best part? Our program lets you work at the pace that fits your schedule. Full-Year programs have 12 month deadlines and semester students have a 6-month deadline from when you started. If you have a specific goal, like finishing in 8 months, checking your progress every couple of months can keep you on target:
After 2 months: Try to be around 25% complete.
After 4 months: Aim for 50% complete.
Stay Connected: Chatting about your progress each week as a family can help keep things on track, and remember, I’m always here if you need a little extra support. Just reach out!
Your deadline is based upon the initial enrollment date for your courses. If you don't recall your deadline, you can view it on your LearnStage Account anytime by clicking on your program.
Academic Coaches
Excel Education Systems offers Academic Coaches that provide a broad range of support services to students. Help is available to you regarding course content, getting started with essays, questions about math problems, explanations for why you might have gotten a question wrong on a quiz or test, and more! To best utilize this support, please submit a Help Desk ticket.
If you need assistance with a grade, course content, or any general inquiry, please submit a Help Desk Ticket. This is the most efficient method for resolving your concerns. When submitting your ticket, be sure to include the following:
Course name
Module and assignment title/number (e.g. Module 3, 3.4 Quiz or Module 4, 4.4 Short Response Assignment)
A detailed description of the issue - include what happened, any steps you've taken to resolve it, and the result of those attempts
Relevant screenshots - for example, if a quiz is not recording your answers, include a screenshot of the completed quiz showing the answers you submitted
Submitting all necessary information helps us address your concern more quickly and accurately.
Grading
In order to receive an accurate grade, you must include a minimum of 5 complete sentences; this may include a direct quote and APA in-text citation. Any submission with less than 5 sentences will not be accurately scored.
In order to successfully pass this course, students must earn a minimum score of 60% on all major writing assignments. You are allowed 3 attempts at writing assignments. Failure to meet this requirement may result in not passing the course, regardless of performance in other areas. Please ensure all assignments are completed to the best of your ability and submitted on time.
All writing assignments must be typed and submitted in a digital format: PDF or Word Doc. Handwritten work, scanned documents, or photos of handwritten assignments will not be accepted under any circumstances. Please ensure your submissions meet these requirements to receive credit.
When submitting an essay or short answer response, it will take 72 business hours before you receive a grade and feedback. If you have not received a grade and feedback after 72 business hours, please submit a Help Desk Ticket. This is the only pathway to efficiently resolve your concerns.
Grading Scale:
A = 90-100%
B = 80-89%
C = 70-79%
D = 60-69%
F = 0-59%
If you're seeing an error message when you try to upload your assignment, here are two things to check:
File Name:
Make sure the name of your file does not have special symbols like @, !, _, or '. These can stop the system from accepting your file.
File Type:
The best file type to upload is a .pdf. Other types might work, but if you're using a Mac, Apple files (like .pages) sometimes don’t upload. Changing your file to a .pdf usually fixes the problem.
If it still doesn’t work, you can email your assignment to your teacher or Success Coach. But we want to help you fix these issues first so it’s easier to upload your work next time.
Let us know if you need help!
How do I upload my ID?
Log into your Student Account, find your profile, or find your name at the top right of the screen, and click on it.
This will take you to your student profile.
Look for a box that says “Upload Documents” to the right. Click this and upload your ID.
Your account can be locked for two reasons.
Attendance Hold: If you have not been in your courses for 60 days, your account automatically moves to an Attendance Hold. Please submit a help desk ticket so we can unlock your account.
Declined Payment: If you have missed a payment, your account will move to Declined Payment. Please log into the student account, select the program, and restart your payment installments to get access to your courses again.
If you have taken all of your attempts and you still are not passing the course, please send a help desk ticket to an Academic Coach. They will evaluate your course. You may need to retake it at the following grade level.
If your course shows 100% on your LearnStage, but it does not show as passed on your account, you have not completed your course. There are a few things to check before your course is completed.
Please check your gradebook for any assignments missing a grade or submission date.
The system won’t mark a course as completed unless every single item (even the syllabus and survey) has been clicked on. Make sure to start at the very top and click on every assignment.
If your course still has not moved to a completed status on your account, please send in a help desk ticket.
If you have hit your year deadline and you are not completed with your courses, one option would be to purchase a two-month extension for $200. Here are instructions for purchasing a two-month extension: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yxTcul3AZlDtwMRuenpHpWmnGKHOflLP/view?usp=sharing
You have two options:
Ask your school to email us directly at records@excelhighschool.com.
Order through Parchment for $4.70: Order Transcript via Parchment
How do I know if I’ve graduated?
If you’ve completed 21.5 credits and met all requirements, plus your account is paid in full, submit a Help Desk ticket to be evaluated.
You’ll receive next steps via email in 2–4 business days from graduation@excelhighschool.com.
Tip: Upload a valid ID to your account or email it to graduation@excelhighschool.com to avoid delays. Make sure your address on file is correct for shipping your diploma
Eeach graduate will receive a hard cover official diploma, keepsake cap and tassel - along with a branded congratulations letter encouraging them to share their graduation moment with their friends, family, and the broader Excel community. I've attached a copy of the letter for your review.
Here’s what we’re asking graduates to do:
Snap a selfie or take a photo wearing their cap and tassel while holding their diploma.
Tag us @ExcelHighSchool on social media.
Use the hashtag #ExcelGrad to share their excitement and inspire others.
A QR code is included in the letter to make it easy for students to connect with us online and start sharing their celebration moments instantly. Rachel set up a page for us using QR Tiger, which displays all of our social media options for easy access. This is a great option to ensure we catch all types of social media users.
Bonus Incentive: Students who tag us may be eligible to win prizes through fun contests - another way we’re celebrating their success while organically growing our reach.
