Overview: This section has been developed to help instruct the RA on what and how information related to incidents should be shared with the team.
Learning Outcome: By completing this unit, the RAs will learn how to report an incident via the reporting system, StarRez, how to communicate with their supervisor about information that is necessary for an investigation, and actually attend the situation.
Please Note: This section is different from "Unit 3: Protecting Your Communities", because it is related to communicating effectively and completing the action needed.

As you oversee the community, one of your duties is to learn how to address community concerns and to effectively report those concerns so that professional staff will be able to conduct the necessary investigation that is needed.
To do that, you must complete the following:
Clearly understand what happened within the situation.
Provide details of who all were involved in the situation (Participants, Campus Safety, Additional RAs, etc).
Write a detailed report that reads exactly how things unraveled.
(Click Below)
After reviewing the content above, we will need you to write a detailed report for the following incidents. As an RA, you must be descriptive, clear, and concise in your writing. When you are writing, please do not assume that the reader knows what happened. They need all the information, no matter if it is the colors of someone's hair, words spoken, etc. They need everything.
Your Task: You will watch one video below at a time. After reviewing the videos, you will write a descriptive account of what happened, who was involved, and additional details. Please do not leave anything out.
You are writing this report to Campus Safety, Residence Life, Dean of Students, and the President of the University. We do not know what happened in the situation.
