Having spent many years in the gutter in an attempt to promote the value of street features to inform history, The Street Heritage Research Group has secured significant EU funding to pursue the history of street features. (read submission here)
Having won a highly competitive grant application process the SHRG in cooperation with Sheffield Civic Trust has been given funds to roll out a European wide network of Drainspotting enthusiasts to start a re-telling of European history from the gutter.
The project will be making use of years of accumulated knowledge, satellite technology and cutting edge cloud-based geographic information management systems.
