Saturday, February 27 is the big day!
Here's everything you need to know so your family is prepared for The Frog Prince performances

Arrival Time

All cast members should arrive 90 minutes before showtime (at 11:30 a.m.) to check in, get into costume, and warm up
Please be on time—costume changes and preparation move quickly

Performance Schedule

First Performance: 1:00 p.m.
Second Performance: 3:30 p.m.
Each show runs about 60–70 minutes with no intermission.

Ticket Sales

$15 General Admission required for guests ages 2+; each Strandwood student may reserve one free ticket in advance
Students must be accompanied by a paying adult ticket holder
Purchase tickets, reserve student tickets, and view raffle upgrades on our Strandwood Winter Production ticketing site starting in February

All ticket sales are final

Photography & Video Rules

No flash photography during the performance
Video recording is allowed, but please:
- Stay seated
- Keep aisles clear
- Remain in one spot while recording
- Do not hold phones over your head while recording as it blocks the view of other audience members
There will be time after the performance for photos of the cast in costume

Volunteer Needs

We need extra hands on Saturday to make the performances run smoothly and to help pack everything up afterward.

Volunteer Roles:

M.U. Set-Up Crew (Pre-Shows): Help set up chairs and tables in our "theater" before the first performance
Front of House Helpers (Pre-Shows): Check in performers, greet families, usher, and help with ticket collection
Dressing Room Helpers (During Shows): Stay backstage to assist students with costumes, quick changes, and keeping the dressing area calm and organized
Photographer (During Shows): Capture high-quality photos of the show, backstage moments, and group shots of the cast. Photos will be shared with families afterward
Videographer (During Shows): Film both performances in the theater for distribution to parents. Must be able to provide video equipment and steady filming
M.U. Take-Down Crew (Post-Shows): Assist with breaking down chairs and tables, costume return, set strike, and loading the truck after the final performance

FAQs About Performance Day

What time should my child arrive?

All cast members should arrive 90 minutes before the first showtime at 11:30 a.m. to check in, change into costumes, and warm up. Please be on time so the whole cast can prepare together.

What should my child bring?

A water bottle (labeled with their name)
A healthy snack if they’ll need a quick bite before or between shows
Everything else (costumes, props, makeup) will be provided

Where should parents go after drop-off?

Parents should drop their child off at the check-in area and then head to the audience seating area. Only volunteers and staff may stay backstage with the cast.

When should parents return for pickup?

Children will be released to parents immediately after the final performance is finished and costumes are returned. Please plan to wait a few extra minutes while the cast checks in costumes and props.

Can parents watch the dress rehearsal on Friday?

No. The dress rehearsal is closed so the cast can focus. Parents are invited to attend the Saturday performances only.

How long are the performances?

Each performance runs about 60–70 minutes with no intermission.

Can I take pictures or videos during the show?

No flash photography during the performance
Video recording is allowed, but please stay seated, keep aisles clear, and remain in one spot. Do not hold your phone over your head while recording or in a position where it blocks other audience members from watching their children perform
After the performance, there will be time to take photos of your child in costume
