GRADE LEVEL FOCUS

Because of the importance of this topic, this lesson spirals itself each year from 7^th through 12^th grade, with a combination of consistent content and new content.

High School and Beyond Planning details specific Career Guidance Washington program actions with appropriate content for the High School and Beyond Planning process derived from current legislative rules and the HSBP components inclusive of approaches to utilizing electronic portfolios connected to student information systems.

Student-Led Conferencing describes CGW program actions with appropriate content for school-wide SLC’s organized by: Who am I, What have I accomplished, What plan do I have for my life and outlines a triad reporting process, led by students to be presented to parents and facilitated by an adult advisor.

Student-Informed Scheduling defines an organized system for CGW program actions with appropriate content for student-informed scheduling processes, inclusive and connected to the High School and Beyond for student course selection, school forecasting and registration.

– Grade 8: Introduction to HSBP

– Grade 9: Understanding the HSBP

– Grade 10: Completing elements of the HSBP

– Grade 11: Understanding my Pathway Choices

– Grade 12: Completing HSBP with Next Year Plans
