Tara has been a member of the SLFSC since the age of 10 and has been coaching skaters in the North Country since the late 1980's. Tara is a Double Gold Medalist in Ice Dance and achieved Novice Freestyle, Junior Moves, 5th Figure, and Junior Free Dance. Tara has a Masters of Education in Counseling and Human Development from SLU. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from SUNY Potsdam. 

Danielle Grant

With more than 40 years of coaching experience, Danielle has had the privilege of sharing her love and passion for figure skating with skaters of all ages. Danielle believes skating is not only about developing strong technical skills, but also about building confidence, perseverance, discipline, and a lifelong love for the sport.

Danielle am a USFSA Quadruple Gold Medalist and a former competitive pair skater, having competed at six Eastern Sectional Championships. Her experience as a competitive skater has given her a strong understanding of the dedication, commitment, and preparation required to reach personal and competitive goals.

Throughout Danielle's coaching career, she has worked with skaters at a wide range of levels, from beginners taking their first steps on the ice to competitive skaters pursuing higher-level goals. She have accompanied and coached skaters at local, state, regional, and national competitions, and have been fortunate to coach skaters who have qualified for U.S. Figure Skating Junior National Championships and Showcase Nationals.

As an elementary physical education teacher, Danielle also brings a unique perspective to coaching. Working with children every day has strengthened her ability to teach movement skills, communicate with young athletes, create positive learning environments, and help children develop confidence in their abilities.

Emma Perrigo

Emma is an 18 year old homeschool graduate working on getting her cosmetology license. 

Emma has been passionate about figure skating for the past 10 years. She is currently skating at the Pre-Gold Skating Skills, Pre-Silver Freestyle, Pre-Gold Free Dance, and Silver Dance levels.

As a coach Emma's goal is to help every skater learn, grow, and truly enjoy their time on the ice. She believes skating should be challenging and rewarding, while still being fun. Emma wants her skaters to feel encouraged to work hard, try new things, and be proud of their progress. 

Figure skating has given her so much and she loves having the opportunity to share that with others. Emma's hope is that the skaters she works with not only become stronger skaters, but also develop the same love, confidence, and excitement for the sport that has kept her skating for the past 10 years. 

Chelsea Reilly

Chelsea has been figure skating for the past 19 years. She skated on a synchronized skating team for 9 years on Long Island where she was team captain for her last two years. Chelsea graudated from SUNY Potsdam in May 2023 with her BFA in Art Education. She is currently in her second year of teaching Middle School Art and is excited to be back on the ice coaching Learn to Skate.

With a passion for figure skating and a commitment to helping every skater reach their full potential, Dillynn brings years of competitive skating experience and a love of teaching to every lesson.

Dillynn is a U.S. Figure Skating Triple Gold Medalist and a competitive figure skater who has competed at rinks and competitions across the country. Her skating journey has included participation in the prestigious National Showcase and the Excel National Festival, as well as multiple appearances at the Empire State Games, where she is proud to be a multi-gold medalist.

Dillynn's experience as a competitive skater gives her a unique perspective as a coach. She understands the dedication, discipline, confidence, and perseverance it takes to set goals and achieve them—whether a skater is stepping onto the ice for the very first time or preparing for competition. Come skate, learn, grow, and discover what you can achieve on the ice!

Catherine has been skating for the past 16 years.  She has earned three USFSA Gold Medals including Moves in the Field, Dance, and Solo Free Dance.  This will be her fourth year coaching and first year coaching at SLFSC.  She is a recent graduate of St. Lawrence University and is looking forward to her first season as a St. Lawrence Figure Skating Coach.

Kennedy Hayes has over 23  years of experience on the ice and 10 years experience coaching. Kennedy has achieved Gold medals in Skating Skills (Moves in the Field), Ice Dance, and Solo Free Dance, and is currently working on  her Novice Freeskate. She has also earned a Canadian Gold medal in dance. Kennedy has been coaching group and private lessons to both Learn to Skate and Junior/Seniors over her career. Kennedy is looking forward to being at the SLFSC!
