The Bridge Program is a way to “bridge” between the group lessons of the Learn to Skate program and the independent skating of our Junior / Senior ice time. This year our Bridge Program will be broken into two Bridge groups: Bridge A and Bridge B.
Bridge A
The Bridge A Program will take place on Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday ice time and is open to any skater who has pass Pre-Freeskate.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45-8:00pm Bridge students will have a 15-minute group lesson and 60-minutes of skating time. From 7:30-8pm, our Bridge students will have 30-minutes of ice time, exclusive to Bridge students, to develop their capabilities at self-directed practice and skill building. Skaters may also participate in private lessons during the 30-minutes of Bridge only time.
Sunday is traditional Free-Skate time with 15-minute group lesson and 60-minute of skating time.
Tuesday and Thursday 6:45-8:00pm (Canton Pavilion)
Sunday 11:45am-1pm (Appleton Arena)
Bridge B
The Bridge B Program is for skaters who have passed Freeskate 1 AND have a coach's recommendation. Bridge B will take place on Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday ice time with additional crossover time with Junior/Senior skaters. Bridge B skaters will focus less on traditional LTS testing and more on developing skills that enable skaters to test skating skills, singles, and pattern dances as well as learning to work more independently on the ice.
Skaters are strongly encouraged to participate in private lessons during the 30-minutes of Bridge only time.
