Heroes 

In Challenge 2, we talk a lot about heroes. From Beowulf to Bilbo Baggins, Robinson Crusoe to Sydney Carton, Elizabeth Bennet to Ransom, and Jane Eyre to Mother Teresa in British Literature. In Debate, we walk through How Then Shall We Live with Francis Schaffer, a modern hero of the faith. We learn about composers and artists, some well-known ones like Handel, Bach, Beethoven, and others like Dvorak and Debussy. We will look at artists like Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci (no, they are TMNT) to Berlinghieri and van Eyck. Throughout, we talk about virtue and what a “good citizen” is, especially in Socratic Dialogue. In Logic II, we will look specifically at C.S. Lewis, Plato, and others in case studies.
