TAMU-CC provides a wide range of support services for students that do not come in as "College Ready". This link here will show you the services that our College Readiness Team provides. The incoming freshman or transfer students have multiple opportunities to succeed whether that is in Math or Reading.
If a student is coming into TAMU-CC not college ready in Math placement, the student will be placed in a support course that provides an additional opportunity for the student to ensure that what was covered in the lecture portion is retained. One interesting fact is that if a student who is considered College Ready and they want to take the support course class, it is an option to them.
TAMU-CC has a dedicated space known as the Math Learning Center on campus. Math Teaching Assistants can offer tutoring for students that are college ready or not college ready in math courses from College Algebra all the way up until Calculus III.
ILearn is a 24/7 online tool that can be of a support along with Tutoring and Learning Services for Math. All students need to access ILearn is your Islander email.
Tutoring and Learning Services here at TAMU-CC is additionally a great benefit to students to help work through not only math but other subjects as well.
