Our Story

Founded by experienced educator Mrs Rita, Step-By-Step Tutoring grew from a simple belief that every child deserves to feel capable, seen, and supported.
After more than a decade in education, including leading roles at large tutoring academies, Rita witnessed how traditional systems often failed to meet students’ individual needs. Large groups, generic textbooks, and one-size-fits-all programs left too many children disengaged and discouraged.

Determined to make a real difference, Rita began tutoring independently in students’ homes, focusing on individualised, hands-on lessons that were personal, engaging, and grounded in the science of learning. What began as one teacher’s passion for one-to-one teaching has since evolved into a collective of like-minded educators who share the same commitment to helping children thrive step by step.
