At Step By Step Tutoring, we believe in nurturing a love of learning in every child. Our mission is to provide high-quality Maths and English tuition that builds confidence, deepens understanding, and helps students excel. Led by experienced educator Ms. Rita, Step By Step Tutoring offers a structured yet engaging learning environment for pre-school and primary school students.

Our Story

With over 12 years of experience in education, I began my journey teaching at a large tutoring academy. While working with hundreds of students, I quickly realised that many children weren’t receiving the individualised attention they needed to truly thrive. Class sizes were too large, lessons lacked engagement, and students were often expected to learn from generic, one-size-fits-all textbooks rather than receiving targeted, guided instruction tailored to their needs. 

Determined to make a real impact, I opened my own tutoring centre in Moorebank, where I could bring a personalised, engaging, and evidence-based approach to learning. My goal has always been to ensure that every student is actively learning, not just completing extra work without purpose.

As a mother of two, I understand the importance of early literacy and numeracy skills. My eldest is in primary school, and my 2.5-year-old is already blending sounds and reading simple words! I bring the same level of care and dedication to my students as I do to my own children.
