Forensic scientists use various types of natural and physical sciences to analyze crime scene evidence.
As such, they help assist law enforcement officials, such as the police, in solving crimes by helping to identify criminals and analyze evidence found against possible suspects.
Forensic scientists play a vital role in our society. Among many other things, their core responsibility is to work behind the scenes to collect and analyse evidence from crime scenes, examine and thus assist the law in criminal cases.

Conduct and supervise DNA analysis of crime samples
Interpret forensic DNA results
Prepare reports and provide expert court testimonies
Conduct statistical analysis and development of new forensic DNA technologies
