Celeste enjoys math and seeing how diverse each concept can be. Math is the basis behind so many subjects which redeems its importance and makes it fun. A fun fact about her is that she loves embroidering. 

Deetya is interested in math and learning the logic behind complicated concepts, such as proofs. She also really likes how certain concepts apply to the natural world! Other than doing math homework she likes playing guitar and watching TV.

Will has founded a math tutoring program at his middle school, Our Lady of Fatima, and is experienced with explaining difficult concepts to students. His favorite subjects are math, computer science, and physics.

Leonardo is a first year at Joseph A. Gregori high school and has a long-time interest in both math and science. In his free time, he enjoys learning about different foods around the world. Additionally, he seeks to achieve a degree in mathematics after graduating high school. One of his favorite hobbies is playing board games.

Sparsh teaches chemistry because it's a subject that truly interests him and is something that he is willing to pursue in college. Teaching chemistry here gives him the opportunity to share his joy for chemistry with younger children and to give them a chance to connect with science. He can also speak many languages.

Marcos enjoys all disciplines of science, but sciences that explain our universe at its most basic levels, like chemistry and physics, are his greatest passions. He finds that if he wants to understand our world better, there’s no better place to start than the fundamentals.

Scout has been doing Biology for 2 years now and will continue to pursuit her passion in it in the future. Her favorite animal is elephants, and she even adopted one!

Aurora is a first year Biosystems engineering student at UC Davis with plans to pursue a PhD. Her main research interests lie in biotechnological applications such as CRISPR and biomanufacturing. In her words, "Why make lemonade when you can bioengineer the lemons in a grand scheme for world domanation?"

Selena decided to participate in the SYSC program to gain more experience in STEM, and to help younger students find the same passion for STEM as she did. She chose to teach environmental science to raise youth awareness on environmental conservation, which is a pressing issue currently. Some of her passions include running, baking, and spending time with her loved ones!

Shriya has been passionate towards science, but specifically Environmental Science! She plans to major in Environmental Policy because of her passion towards protecting the environment, and inspiring future generations to do the same! Some of her hobbies are hanging out with friends and family, gardening, and traveling!
