Good Morning, Team!
This week's positive message:
Fuel Your LIfe With Purpose - Remember why you do what you do. We don't get burned out because of what we do. We get burned out because we forget why we do it. Each day, let your purpose refresh and recharge you so you can make a greater impact. (#64 - from How To Be A Coffee Bean)
Just two more weeks (10 school days) before a week-long break! You've got this! I hope you all enjoy the extra hour of time this weekend with time change! Enjoy your day!
#MAWAY!

"A" week schedule this week!
Please help me welcome Ms. Tabitha to our team! She has already begun working hard up at the front and is getting to know all scholars and families! Please remember to only send scholars up to the front with a nurse's pass if they have one of the "7 B's", and refrain from sending scholars up without a pass. Extra nurses passes can be located in the resources section of our staff folder in the google drive.
Welcome, Ms. Tabitha, to our team!😀
Where to put them: 2023-2024 Teacher Resources drive within the STEM folder.
Please make sure to upload your lesson plans & newsletters to the correct folder and on time. If you need help, please let me know!
*Make sure to add Common Sense Media lessons to your lesson plans each week, Paper lessons/expectations, and NewsELA Social Studies lessons!
In the Upcoming Dates section below you will find the upcoming STAAR Interim dates. On Monday, Nov 6, I will be meeting with STAAR testing teachers to review expectations. Some of you may be pulled to assist with small groups, if necessary. Please remember that we are practicing the STAAR Interim testing like we want the scholars to perform on the STAAR testing in the spring, so please remember to keep scholars quiet in the hallways as you transition to and from Specials, lunch & recess.
On Nov. 9, 10, 13 & 16, the Specials schedule will change just a bit. K-2 classes will attend Specials in the morning time when 6-8 normally have Specials (9:30-10:25), and scholars in grades 6-8 will have Specials when K-2 classes normally have Specials in the afternoon (2:30-3:30). Let me know if you have any questions!

Things to do this week:
Place your lesson plans & newsletters in the correct google drive folder
Prepare for Student-Led Conferences (SLCs) coming up - create a sign up email (Sign Up Genius, etc) and send to families THIS WEEK (send it to me as well) so they can begin signing up for conferences. The goal is 100% participation for families/scholars - they do not all have to be completed the week of Nov. 6. You will have until Winter Break to complete all conferences.
Continue to focus on beginning of day routines with your scholars (greeting scholars in the hall outside your room and morning work procedures)
Plan your digital citizenship lesson for Friday through the Common Sense Education website
