How do I make an animated story?
This course is an advanced course for 7th and 8th graders interested in motion graphics. In this course, you will learn how to tell stories through scenic design, lighting, sounds, motion, plot development, and character development. You will also be developing a 3D Animation which will encompass all that you’ve learned in STEAM:Legends and you will be exhibiting your work in our annual showcase as your capstone project.
What essential skills do student's need to succeed in STEAM Class. In this onboard quest, students will learn what it means to be in STEAM by explore and applying our procedures, routines, and guides to learning how to use the Innovator's Hub as a learning tool and more.
Time Frame: 2 Weeks

How does one create a stop motion animation? From investigating the different type shots and angles, applying the principles of animations, to editing clips together, student will learn to how making a stopmotion animated clip.
Time Frame: 5 Weeks
Skill Level: Intermediate
How do we use meshes to create model complex objects? Students will learn how to use Blender Interface to add meshes, compose complex 3D objects with multiple meshes, and add materials to the meshes.
Time Frame: 3 Weeks
Skill Level: Beginner
How does one create 3D landscape or setting? Building off from the Blender Basics quest we will be using a variety of editing tool to customize the shapes of meshes so that student can build and give us a tour of their 3D landscape.
Time Frame: 5 Weeks
Skill Level: Intermediate/Advance
How does one animate 3D objects? Students will be using the animation tools to set keyframes to animated ball bouncing, the camera moving, and a biped walking and more.
Time Frame: 4 Weeks
Skill Level: Advance
In this final quest, students will create a 2-3 min. animated short using the concepts learned throughout the year.

In May, students will be showcasing their best work at the Innovation Showcase and at Saleforce's Film Fest.
