JOUDG "Pavlina Veljanova" is a public kindergarten located in Kocani, in the eastern part of the Republic of North Macedonia. The institution provides high-quality early childhood education and care for approximately 700 children of diverse nationalities, including Macedonian, Roma, Wallachian and Turkish. The kindergarten employs nearly 100 staff members.
The institution consists of five active facilities, with a sixth modern, EU-standard building currently under construction.
Each facility hosts nursery and preschool groups:
“Bambi” – 1 nursery group, 4 preschool groups
“Zvezdichki – Stars” – 2 nursery groups (9–24 months), 6 preschool groups
“Sonchogledi – Sunflowers” – 2 nursery groups, 6 preschool groups
“Cvetovi – Flowers” – 2 nursery groups, 5 preschool groups
“Kokichinja” – 2 preschool groups
The upcoming new building will be a modern, energy-efficient facility designed to accommodate over 100 additional children.
Our kindergarten provides support for children with developmental difficulties in the areas of motor skills, socio-emotional development, communication and cognitive development. A multidisciplinary approach ensures that every child receives appropriate care and educational support.
Over the years, JOUDG "Pavlina Veljanova" has gained extensive experience through national and international projects supported by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy and global organizations such as UNICEF, Peace Corps, and USAID.
