Yannis Pantazis

Yannis Pantazis, PhD, is an Assistant Researcher at the Institute of Applied and Computational Mathematics of the Foundation of Research and Technology-Hellas, Greece. He received his BSc, MSc and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Crete in 2004, 2006 and 2010, respectively. He was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and at the University of Crete, Greece. His research interests include Stochastic Processes, Uncertainty Quantification, Sensitivity Analysis, Dynamical Systems, Sparse Inference, Machine Learning, Signal Processing and Bioinformatics. He is author of 34 referred scientific publications that has been presented in various journals, conferences and workshops.  He has a total number of 516 citations and an h-index of 14. In 2015, he received the 1st honorable mention (3rd place) on DARPA’s Forecasting Chikungunya Outbreak Competition.
