Throughout the movie we can see the separatist crisis is directly caused by computer and network security. There was a big case of information in the Jedi Archives (32:45) being released, when Obi-wan searches for Kamino and Jocasta Nu says, "If an item does not appear in our records, it does not exist." then later Yoda later realizes "only a Jedi could have erased those files" (38:20), meaning an insider has used their credentials to delete important records (suspecting Count Dooku). In chapter 7 talks about hacking in section 7.2, where he defines hackers as "People who gain unauthorized access to computers and computer networks". Dooku's deletion of the files in the Jedi Library directly shows unauthorized access.
A second example appears when Obi-Wan sends a report from Geonosis (1:32:00) but cant get a direct signal out, so he has to bounce it through Anakin on Tatooine. In chapter 7 there was a section on "denial of service attacks" (Section 7.4.3). The texts states that the goal of a DoS attack "is to disrupt a computer server's ability to respond to its clients" and that "a military organization may find its communications disrupted". Obi-Wan can't communicate normally because the Separatists are blocking or jamming the area, so he works around it.
Hacking (Section 7.2): Defines hackers as people who gain unauthorized access to computers and computer networks, including insiders who misuse valid credentials.
Denial-of-Service Attacks (Section 7.4.3): Focuses on attacks designed to disrupt a server's ability to respond to its clients, including the disruption of military communications.
