Below please find the competitions our team will strive to compete at this year! Sign-Up links are in each competition's section.

📘 In order to provide a baseline for planning, below I attempt to give the most accurate projected timeline and details for competitions, however they are subject to change. Therefore the order (1️⃣,2️⃣, etc.) in which the compeititons fall may not completely match the order they are listed below. This is due to competition's fluctuating dates where they are booked for the year.

✈ For away competitions, I will help organize ridesharing and other arrangements whenever possible. My goal is to help our team save money and gain experience together.

📖 Some Terminology for below:

TBA = To Be Announced
Open / Invitational Competition = Allows skaters from outside the region to participate. This usually means more competitors and a larger event (great chance to catch up with nationwide skating friends!)
Tri State = A regional competition within our area and only including our region's skaters

🏆 International competition: America's Cup (Jan)

One major international competition we do not currently attend is the America's Cup. This event typically only features World Skate (international-style) events. (See different skating styles here: skating styles)

At this time, our team does not compete in World Skate events (yet!), so we do not currently participate in this competition however the information below is provided for those who are curious or interested in learning more. One day, I hope to add it to our list! 😁

Falling in the beginning of the competitive season, this meet is a great opportunity to get your scores in your requirements and save them to compare to the end of the season.

3️⃣ Tri State Figure & Dance Meet (Feb/Mar)

There is no freestyle at this competition, however free dance events are held

4️⃣ Stars on Wheels "Spring" Invitational (Mar)

🏨 Host Rink: Wheels Skating Center,

1200 Odenton Road, Odenton, MD 21113

Friday is usually official practice day
Saturday and Sunday are usually World Skate / A & B / Gold & Silver events
Monday is usually C / Bronze events
- alert teachers / work you are going to be absent
- depending on the time of your event, you may even want to take Tuesday off.
- Plan to make up the work ahead of time and plan accordingly!!!

This is a popular away-meet, and many times it is a skater's first glimpse to what Nationals is (kind of) like!

5️⃣ Chicago Midwest Invitational (Mar/Apr)

7️⃣ The Ohio Cup Invitational (Usually 4th week in Apr)

Roll Arena Ohio Cup Invitational Meet - There is a website I found for this one!
- It does not seem to be updated regularly until the competition starts coming up again.
- Please ask me to contact them for you if you have any questions (others may have the same questions too!)

8️⃣ The Rink New Jersey Open (May, usually Mother's Day)

This meet usually has adult events on Saturday and youth events on Sunday, with the exception of Adult C skaters (historically have been on Sunday)

9️⃣ Regionals (June, usually Father's Day)

This meet usually has adult events on Saturday and youth events on Sunday, with the exception of Adult C skaters (historically have been on Sunday)

📝 Notes:

This event is "closed" meaning only those in our region can compete. If you receive 1st, 2nd, or 3rd you may qualify for nationals and can go!

🔟 Nationals (July)

📅 Where & When:

- it is a stadium and not an actual rink (a floor is put inside of the stadium for nationals)
- many times it is in a central location in the country but not always

3rd week = Youth Week
4th week = Adult Week + all C Events (including Adult C)

🏅 Requirements:

Refer to the April drawl for Nationals elimination and final requirements ➡ Seasonal Requirements
You can only compete at Nationals if you receive 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in an event other than Youth Development/Intro
