Hello! I'm Lauren.
I can't wait to meet you! I have a passion for teaching people of all ages about the art of roller skating. My mother had me on skates almost as soon as I could start walking and I have been skating ever since. She had the foresight to know I'd want to learn and be the best skater I could as soon as possible, so she put me in group and private lessons at an early age, and I went on to compete until I was 17. I came back for one final season after college and realized I was meant to come back for good as a coach. That was a dream come true!
And the dream is still going! I am honored to coach at multiple rinks in my area, teach multiple classes a week, and to pour into my students and help them understand the importance of self-discipline and perseverance to reach their goals in skating (and whatever life throws at them). I train students both for competition or just to have fun and roller skate! In my training I have a special focus on safety while pushing the skater to experience all they are capable of.
Skating is truly special as it incorporates the art of self-expression and disciplined sports training to perform dances, tricks, and difficult edges. It takes years of mastery to become elite and a lot of hard work, but if you strive for it I know you can do anything you set your mind to. So come join the dream and experience the journey! Come learn how to go so fast your eyes water, dance your heart out, and grow into a person of strength and character as you push yourself to become all that you can be.
