Highlights:
Environmental-Related Budget Discussion: There is interest in securing continued funding for green grants, wetland education, recycling, community gardens, energy efficiency, and solar. A public hearing was held on Tuesday, 9/6. Director Opsommer will have more details.
Recycling Grant: We are currently discussing the budget with staff, EGLE, and Spicer. It is likely that the grant to establish a new recycling drop-off facility will occur.
Green Gazette: The latest edition can be found here.
Sustainable Home and Garden Tour: I would love volunteers to help write up a tour guide.
Bootcamp: Meridian signed up to participate in a "bootcamp" for the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to learn about the grant possibilities.
MSU Energy Study: A pre-assessment meeting will be held in the next couple weeks.
