Green Team:  Event planning underway.  Kick off on March 18 at the Mall.  Big recycling event on Earth Day. Working  with MSU Sustainability Students who may assist.  Created a Green Team web page to organize info.  https://sites.google.com/view/meridian-green-team/csus-spring-2023 

Energy Team:  MSU study continues to look at improvements at the Municipal Building and Public Safety.  Solarize project underway.  First workshop in March.  EECBG bootcamp has launched. Wetland Education Team:  discussion of 2023 budget is occurring.  Ryan Schaner has been helpful in creating an update list of residents and property owners on or adjacent to wetlands.

Green Burial Committee:  A new Green Burial Committee is meeting. Bruce Peffers is the point person.  The issue will be discussed at Land Pres. Board as well.  

Good Food to Smart Composting Committee: Michigan Recycling Coalition Director Kerrin O'Brien will join Food Team on Zoom on Mar 3 at noon.

Gleaning Initiative:  Plans are underway for an expanded initiative at the market.  Residents will be able to donate as well.

Student Projects:  Community Sustainability Students will be helping with recycling education and Green Team initiatives. Earth Club podcasts continue.  Graham Sustainability Institute fellows from U of M will be selected next month to assist with a "lake healthy" campaign.

Climate Sustainability Plan:  Communications has helped promote opportunities for public comment (until Apr 1) on CSP and Master Plan https://www.meridian.mi.us/Home/Components/News/News/5677/16 

Green Dialogues:  Wendy Fry will discuss passive recreation and cemeteries on Mar 1 dialogue:   http://bit.ly/green-dialogue at 9am.

Green Grants:  Applications for Green Grants are now available.  Form here.
