Mass streamed 10 am daily - Saturday 5.30pm and Sunday 10.30 am (See Newsletter for latest updates on Church Openings)
A message from Deacon Francis. It was wonderful to share with everyone my very special Mass of Retirement last Sunday. And yes, it was very sad that, due to my ill-health, I was forced to retire from active ministry as a Deacon. I was, nevertheless most grateful to God for blessing me with the most amazing 22 years of being a Deacon.
How truly blessed I have been working alongside Fr. Peter who has taught me so much about being God’s servant and minister. So, Fr Peter, thank you for your wisdom, joy, faith, guidance, example, friendship, and most of all your love, as you guided me along the path that God had mapped out for me.
Without Dorothy, my wife, I could not have become a Deacon as wives have to give 100% agreement and support to their husbands. So, thank you Dorothy for lovingly giving me the opportunity. You are a star.
Events like this don’t just happen. In St Anne’s there is a multitude of kind people who just come to help, with food provision and cooking and so on. So, thank you all you good people
who made things go so well last Sunday, especially all our altar servers and other young people who waited on at table, to ensure that everything went according to plan. Thank you all for that.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone for your wonderful generosity. Your donations we will spend on a holiday next year. Thank you very much. God bless you all.

The song has reached the ears of Pope Francis who has endorsed it and its theme of a light shining in the darkness, a voice of hope rising from amidst the rubble of war.
We also benefit in a small way from each download and stream/watch from the international platforms carrying the song but obviously, we need many, many people to buy the song on Amazon and other platforms; so I need your urgent help to promote our song to all your friends and family, in your parishes and in your schools asking them to download the song, to stream it and to share it with their social media contacts so that it gets noticed by the wider public. Younger people are active on their social media every day so make sure your children and grandchildren know about the song. I would emphasize that the song can be watched on YouTube, listened to and shared free of charge on the other sites; the cost to buy as a download is minimal, around £1.
All monies donated by downloads and streams will help bring relief to Christians in Gaza and the West Bank through our mission and some people may be also inspired to visit our website and donate.
Our brothers and sisters in Gaza and the West Bank are relying on you now more than ever before.
I pray that your efforts are fruitful and for those we all treasure in the Holy Land,

Liverpool City Council’s refugee support group, Our Liverpool, is requesting UK SIM cards for newly-arrived Afghan refugees so that they can have a UK phone number. They do not need to be preloaded with credit, although this would certainly be a welcome gift.
There are quite a few websites where you can order free SIMs, but Lyca is the most convenient because Lyca SIMs activate immediately when you put them in your phone (others need a top up or bank details first). Lyca SIMS can be ordered via the following web page without the need of banking details; simply fill in your email and mailing addresses, and Lyca will send you a SIM.
If every member of the parish can donate just one SIM card in this way, we can help a lot of people who are desperate to keep in touch with their loved ones. Please bring the SIM cards to church and give to Lois or Father Peter. Thank you so much.

Parish Assembly. 13:07:22.There will be a parish assembly this coming Wednesday in the Parish Rooms, starting at 7.00 p.m. everyone is invited and encouraged to take part. The agenda will be available at the weekend Masses. People need to know what has been happening and where we are up to. Then to start planning for the future.
We also need to decide who will represent us at the Deanery synod. So far two names have been given to me – Sr Eleanor, John Doyle and Terry Phillips. Don’t hesitate to send in more names. I don’t think Sr. Eleanor is eligible because the parish reps are meant to be lay people. This is in line with the thinking of Pope Francis and also with our own recent Archdiocesan synod which demanded a far more inclusive Church with lay groups making key decisions.
This month’s Catholic Pic has a major section on implementing the synod’s findings.
