- Ochiba Forest, the 12th district of Karakura and home to its infamous bears, is located northeast of the city. - Home to various legends and myths, Ochiba Forest was always seen as inferior to the Itsbyoshi Forest, the former forest that was south of it. As the years passed by, the Itsbyoshi forest turned more urban, leaving Ochiba as the only true rural place in Karakura.
- Legend says that the Kodama of Karakura resides here and protects the bears of the forest. Others talk about the Takagi hut, located under Shibō bridge, who is said to be haunted by the Lady Tsugumi Takagi.
- The Steps of Eien that lead to the Shinsei Seinaru Monastery would be located north of the forest, near a mystical spring said to bring eternal beauty to a person if they ever drank from it.
