Co-President Purple: Brynn Mason
Hi, I am Brynn Mason, co-president of the Student Nurses Association. I became involved in SNA during my first semester and took on the co-presidency position in Semester B. I help oversee the mentorship program, draft our monthly newsletters, submit the official application for NSNA Constituency status, book rooms for SNA meetings, and organize various SNA sponsored events. I’m deeply passionate about the nursing journey and value the opportunities SNA provides to connect with fellow nursing students, learn from their experiences, and build a professional network before starting our careers. I’m excited to contribute to the impactful work of SNA, which not only fosters our development as future nurses but also emphasizes community outreach and collaboration with other medical professionals. Nursing is more than just a career for me; it's a commitment to making a difference in people's lives. With no prior experience my transition into the medical field has taken many long nights of practice and study; none of which would have been possible without the support of the nursing school community. Upon graduation I hope to peruse a career in the ICU and continue on to CRNA school and continue learning.
Please feel comfortable coming up to me on campus or reaching out, I love getting to know everyone in our program!
Co-President Blue: Juan Martinez Vega
Hello, my name is Juan Martinez Vega, I am a first semester nursing student. As Co-President of the SRJC Student Nurses Association, I support leadership efforts by attending all meetings, managing the mentorship program, and assisting with SNA presentations and events. I draft our monthly newsletter, and collaborate with my Co-President Brynn! I'm committed to creating a supportive environment for student nurses through mentorship, service, and teamwork.
I also work on campus as the HOPE Anatomy 1 tutor, helping students through a class I once struggled with myself. Giving back to my SRJC community is important to me—especially helping others get into the nursing program. I used to think I wouldn’t make it, but programs like HOPE made this possible, and now I get to help others the way I was helped. Do not hesitate to reach out!

Treasurer Officer: April Jackson
srjcsnatreasurerofficer@gmail.com
As Treasurer of the Student Nurses Association (SNA), I work closely with our officers, members, and faculty to ensure the smooth management of our finances. This includes overseeing financial reports and transactions, maintaining accurate records of member fees, and tracking other income and disbursements. My goal as treasurer is to encourage a positive and supportive learning environment where nursing students can thrive, collaborate, and build meaningful connections!
Membership Officer: Haley Presar
srjcsnamembershipofficer@gmail.com
Hi! My name is Haley and I'm the new Membership Officer. I am currently in my B semester and I'm looking forward to my new role in the Student Nursing Association. As the Membership Officer, my duties include maintaining an accurate record of new membership forms, sending them the by-laws as a receipt, and making sure they adhere to the bylaws to maintain their membership status. I will promptly notify members of any non-compliance, as well as the consequences of non-compliance which includes the termination of their membership. Non-compliance can include not attending the required amount of meetings per semester. However, there are many opportunities to make up the meetings and I keep a document for meeting make-up receipts. As long as it is one week from the event that you atteneded I will accept it. I will also have the responsibility to determine the photo consent status of each member and document accordingly.
Please don't hesitate to reach out and ask questions. I want every SNA member to feel welcomed and help maintain their membership status!

Community Outreach Officer: Karen Silberg
srjcsnacommunityoutreach@gmail.com
As the Community Outreach Officer, I am committed to connecting students with nurses from diverse specialties to create meaningful connections that foster professional growth and inspiration. Our monthly guest speakers share valuable insights, personal journeys, and guidance for aspiring nurses. It’s very helpful to hear from others that have gone through a nursing program, navigated various healthcare roles and come from a range of backgrounds. Additionally, I organize volunteer events that provide opportunities to make a positive impact in the community. I grew up on the East Coast, served as a Peace Corps Volunteer, and but have been in California for about 20 years with a background in project management. I’ve always been driven by curiosity and love exploring new ideas with people.
Please reach out to me anytime for ideas on events and speakers or simply to be my friend!
