Student Nurses Association High School Outreach Program (SHO) events:
10/27/25 Santa Rosa High School @ 12:50-1:20pm - Open
10/30/25 Montgomery High School @ 10:15-10:45am - Open
SHO events offer outreach to a variety of high school students, not just those enrolled in health classes, making it these events inclusive to all those interested in learning about nursing! These events typically feature both lunch presentations and extended sessions with health classes, providing a unique opportunity for students who may feel unsure about pursuing nursing or healthcare.
This is a great chance to make an impact on students who might be feeling lost or uncertain about their path. During the classroom sessions, we will host interactive stations where each SNA member will guide students through basic skills like taking vital signs (including blood pressure, pulse, and respirations), giving them a hands-on feel for nursing.
We look forward to seeing everyone there and making a difference together!
