There are two main privileges awarded to Laureates, these are the Diploma and Ribbon Bar. See below to find out more.
The diploma is an official testament bestowed by the Committee. Each diploma commemorates the Laureate’s exemplary action and enduring contribution, formally recognising their appointment as Champion of the Year. Presented alongside the ribbon bar, the diploma embodies the honour, prestige, and timeless tradition of the SQC.
The Laureate's ribbon bar is worn on the recipients left side lapel. It is presented to each Laureate in a presentation box. A ribbon bar is often worn by servicemen and women in place of their campaign medals, because of this the SQC decided that a bar would be presented to Laureates as recognition for their campaign, for their cause. It is a symbol of merit among peacemakers, activists, and extraordinary people. Where a ribbon bar usually represents military merit and sacrifice, often in violent conflict, this bar represents peace and humanity.
The ribbon bar is also worn by the Chairman and members of the Champion's Committee.
