Mrs. Brabant is a native of Bettendorf, Iowa.  She earned her Bachelors of Music degree in Music Education from Iowa State University before earning her Masters of Music degree in Flute Performance at the University of Minnesota.  Mrs. Brabant prides herself on always putting the needs of her students first and will always be their biggest fans - and of course instilling the lifelong love of music in her students!  Mrs. Brabant started teaching high school band at Ridgefield High School in the Fall of 2021.  Prior to coming to Ridgefield, she taught 5-12 band at Graettinger-Terril in NW Iowa for 6 years.  She is also an active flutist, private lesson instructor, and conductor.

When Mrs. Brabant is not making music, she loves cooking, baking, gardening, hiking, watching her favorite tv shows (on repeat), going on off-roading adventures, traveling, and spending time with her beautiful daughter, wonderful husband, and their labradoodle, Reggie.
