A Call for New Play Scripts

and other short works

Spotlight Playhouse is proud to announce our Spotlight on New Works: Play Reading Series to feature new works by established, and upcoming New England playwrights. Spotlight hopes to educate by illuminating the playwriting process for our audiences and to further that process for specific works. It is our goal to encourage audience discussion and provide talkbacks. As with all Spotlight Playhouse events, the series also serves as a fundraiser for our non-profit.

Guidelines:

• Playwrights: A New England connection. No limit on age or experience.

• Genres/Themes: All. A self-rating of "PG" or "G".

• Works: Non-produced short and very short works of up to 60 min.

• Deadline: Submissions on a rolling basis.

• Compensation: Chosen works will appear in our streamed play reading series.

• Production Format: Streamed, although we may consider other formats in future.
