This document expands on community conduct, platform obligations, accessibility, and operational compliance for Splittr. If anything here conflicts with those binding policies, the Privacy Policy and Terms control for users.
Contact: For any topic—including complaints, accessibility, or regulatory questions—use only the developer contact details published for Splittr on Google Play. We do not use email, postal mail, or social media for official requests.
1. Cookies, storage, and similar technologies (web)
Splittr in a browser uses localStorage, IndexedDB, and related APIs to run the App: authentication tokens, caches, feed snapshots, offline write queues, and similar. These are strictly necessary for the product to function.
The Android app uses Capacitor with the same web stack and app sandbox storage (including Preferences) for the same kinds of data. Splittr does not use Google AdMob advertising identifiers.
2. United States state privacy (CCPA / CPRA and similar)
If you are a California or other US resident, state laws may give you rights to know, delete, correct, or opt out of certain sales or sharing (including cross-context behavioral advertising).
Submit any request to Product Info Digital only through the developer contact details published for Splittr on Google Play (describe “CCPA” or “US privacy request” in your message). We do not honor requests sent by email or social media.
3. Children, ratings, and Play Console
Splittr is a bill-splitting and expense-tracking app. It is not designed for children under 13. The Terms require users to be 13+ (or higher if local law requires).
Google Play target audience and content questionnaires must match the real audience. Splittr is not a primarily child-directed title as typically understood for COPPA.
If you believe a child under the applicable age provided personal data, contact us only through the developer contact details published for Splittr on Google Play.
4. Community standards (names and shared content)
Your display name and photo come from Google and may be visible to people you share expenses with. Expense descriptions, group names, and similar text may be seen by those users. You must not:
● Use a name or text that is illegal, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, or severely offensive.
● Impersonate Product Info Digital, Google, other users, or brands.
● Harass, dox, or spam others through any feature we offer.
We may require changes, restrict features, or suspend accounts that violate these rules or the Terms & Conditions. Appeals go only through the developer contact details published for Splittr on Google Play.
5. Fair use and abuse
Abuse includes submitting false expenses or settlements to defraud others, attacking or overloading our systems, scraping, automating unfair use of lookup or contact features, or bypassing authentication or security measures. We may remove content and terminate accounts for serious or repeated abuse.
Appeals: developer contact details published for Splittr on Google Play only.
6. User content and intellectual property
Splittr does not offer arbitrary file uploads or public social feeds. User text is limited to fields such as expense descriptions, group names, and similar. You must not submit copyright-infringing or unlawful content. Product Info Digital owns the Splittr name, branding, code, and UI subject to third-party licenses.
If you need to report IP infringement, use the developer contact details published for Splittr on Google Play with full details; we do not accept reports by email or social media.
7. Accessibility
We aim for readable UI and clear feedback for balances and actions. If you cannot use part of the App due to a disability, tell us only through the developer contact details published for Splittr on Google Play so we can consider improvements—we cannot promise every assistive technology will work with every screen.
Take breaks if you experience eye strain or discomfort from prolonged screen use. This text is not medical advice.
8. Open-source and third-party code
Splittr is built with React, Capacitor, and other open-source components under licenses such as MIT and Apache 2.0. Those licenses apply to those components as published by their authors.
9. Subprocessors (summary)
Personal data is processed by our Splittr backend hosting and infrastructure providers, and by Google (Sign-In / Identity and Play). Details are in the Privacy Policy.
10. Real-money purchases
Splittr does not sell in-app digital items for real money through Product Info Digital or Google Play Billing inside the App. Recording a settlement is a record between users; we do not process peer-to-peer card or bank payments.
11. Screen use
Splittr is a productivity-style app for managing shared expenses. Stop if you experience eye strain, dizziness, or discomfort from prolonged use. This text is not medical advice.
12. Marketing email
Product Info Digital does not send promotional email for Splittr as part of the core product. If that changes, we would ask for opt-in where required and offer unsubscribe. Account-related messages from Google about your Google account remain under Google’s control.
13. Security incidents
If we become aware of a breach of personal data that affects you, we will notify you and regulators as required by law.
14. Google Play and Data safety
Google Play Console Data safety declarations must stay consistent with the App: account data, phone number, contacts where permission is used, device or storage identifiers used for local caches, and other categories actually collected as described in the Privacy Policy.
Policies: Google Play Developer Program Policies — https://play.google.com/about/developer-content-policy/
15. International transfers
Data may be processed in India, the US, the EEA, and other regions where we or our processors (including Google) operate. Standard Contractual Clauses and processor terms apply as described in those companies’ documentation.
16. Internal records
We retain dated copies of published policies, Play Data safety exports, and incident notes as appropriate. Policies are reviewed at least annually or when we add SDKs, data fields, or major features.
