I have been working at SPHS for over 15 years as a School Counselor and have gained college counseling experience by sharing some of the College Counseling duties the last few years. I am now the full time College Counselor for SPHS and am also enrolled in UCLA College Counseling Program. I am excited to help all students with college preparation, trade school, applications, and financial aid. I am here to help students prepare and educate them for life after high school.

Hello San Pedro Pirates! 

My name is Brenda Valdez and I will be your College Bound Program Liaison this school year! I graduated from Pedro and the College Bound Program back in 2018 and went on to attend and graduate from UC Riverside with my B.A. in Education. (GO HIGHLANDERS!) In my free time I love to try new boba and coffee shops, or go to a concert with friends.
