YOU MUST APPLY FOR THE FAFSA IN ORDER TO QUALIFY.
Your FAFSA application will be used to determine if you qualify for the following grants.
Federal Pell Grant
Amounts can change yearly. The maximum Federal Pell Grant award is $6,495 for the 2021–22 award year (July 1, 2021, to June 30, 2022). The amount you get will depend on:
the cost of attendance (determined by your school for your specific program),
your status as a full-time or part-time student, and
your plans to attend school for a full academic year or less.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG)
You can receive between $100 and $4,000 a year, depending on your financial need, when you apply, the amount of other aid you get, and the availability of funds at your school.
WebGrants for Students (use IE or Mozilla Firefox)
You will need to create an account with WebGrants to accept your Cal Grant (or place on hold).
Confirm school of attendance once your school of choice has been determined.
Awards will be placed on hold until school of attendance and graduation confirmation is completed.
Graduation confirmations can be completed starting the month in which the student graduates (i.e. June 1).
Cal grants cover the majority of tuition costs at UCs and CSUs.
Note - undocumented students qualify for Cal grants.
For community college bound students, Cal grants can be placed on hold for up to two years.
