Private Schools

Since every school is different, it is your responsibility as the student to:

• Check the school’s website

• Know which application to use and the requirements

• Check the application, housing, and financial aid deadlines

• Send test scores and transcripts

Requirements may include:

• A-G courses with passing grade of “C-” or better

• Few private colleges will not require the “e” requirement (Language other than English)

  • Example: La Verne University 

• Personal Statements

• 1 common application statement plus college supplemental prompts (if required)

• SAT or ACT

• Extracurricular activities

• Letters of recommendation: varies by campus
