Grade Level Representative (GLR) Field Guide
What Is a Grade Level Representative (GLR)?
A Grade Level Representative (GLR) is a parent or guardian volunteer who:
Supports teachers by assisting with classroom needs, events, and requests.
Serves as a liaison between teachers and families for your grade.
Builds community by coordinating efforts among parents and encouraging collaboration.
GLRs are not expected to do everything alone—working with your co-GLR, other parents makes the role easier and more fun!
Key Responsibilities
1. Teacher Support
Check in monthly with your grade’s lead teacher and other GLRs.
Ask how you can help with classroom needs, events, and supply requests.
