Entry
Anyone can apply to enter.
Entrants must fill in an online application form, providing their best 10 km time since the start of 2022 and evidence of this (e.g. link to po10/Run Britain profile or race result). If you've not run a 10 km race in the past 2 years we will accept other distances and times and then work out the equivalent 10 km from this. All of this will be checked closely. The organiser reserves the right to reject you from the race if you are dishonest about your ability.
When you apply, this is free to do, and you don't actually pay. This ensures that if you are unsuccessful in gaining a place you will not have lost out financially.
On the Entry List entrants will be ranked by gender and speed. When the entry deadline has passed (07/01/24) the top ranked male and female runners will make the cut and get a place.
If you don't get in, you pay nothing and your application will be cancelled (you will receive an email) .
Likewise, if you are successful you will be sent an email to enter the race for real and invited to pay the entry fee.
The number of male/female entrants will be decided upon the entry split and depth/quality of field.
There MAY be entries on the day, but it is unlikely.
There MAY be a reserve list in merit order if someone drops out pre race-day.
You can see your chances of getting a place by looking at the Entry List
The race is run under UKA rules
Minimum age for entry is 15
