General Information

Presentation instructions

Talks are 20 minutes long with an additional 5 minutes for questions. Please give your talk in PDF format (or PPT) to the conference team before your session. This can be done by either emailing your talk to say2020@buffalo.edu before the conference begins, or by bringing your talk to the registration desk on a pen drive where we will upload it onto a laptop for you. Please name the PDF file of your talk with your name in the format firstname surname.pdf(or ppt).

Poster instructions

Poster boards will be available in the Active learning Center of Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (JSMBS), and the poster sessions will be during the afternoon coffee break every day of the conference. Please make sure your posters are displayed by the lunch break on the day of your poster session, and are removed by the end of the day.

Best student paper/poster competition

There will be prizes for the best student oral presentation and the best poster (open to students and non-students). Each conference participant will receive a voting slip in their registration pack for each prize, and are asked to vote for their favorite in each category. Once you have filled in your voting slips you can submit them to the conference registration desk.
