2026 Spanish Summer Sessions with Sra. Ammann
Parents, are you looking for a way to reinforce the skills acquired in Spanish class? Do you have student who has already completed Spanish 1 or 2? Are you fearful of summer slide, language loss, or not feeling prepared for the next level?
Students, would you like the opportunity to review grammatical concepts from Spanish 1 or 2 all from the comfort of your home? Do you want to be prepared for the next level of Spanish? And the best part: you don’t have to wake up early to participate 😀
Online Spanish Summer Sessions may be the perfect thing for you!
Registrants will receive detailed information regarding log-in information and a reminder of dates/times for their chosen sessions the week prior to each session. Make sure to add sparksignitedllc@gmail.com to your contacts so that the message does not go to your junk mail.
Spanish Curriculum
With the guidance and coaching of a highly-qualified high school teacher, students will engage in online learning that focuses on the following:
Spanish 1 Review
collaboration and discussions with peers
regular present tense verb review
irregular present tense verb review including irregular first person verbs and stem-changing verbs
the verb gustar
comparatives review
possible review pending interest: demonstrative adjectives & pronouns, possessive adjectives & pronouns, affirmative & negative words
reading & writing skills
Spanish 2 Review
collaboration and discussions with peers
reflexives verbs and pronouns
regular preterite (past tense) review
irregular preterite review including -car/-gar/-zar and all types of stem-changing verbs
regular and irregular imperfect review (2nd past tense)
reading & writing skills
Our curriculum is focused on collaboration, creativity, and fun! Our goal is to build upon already established skills and intense review so that students can continue to develop the target language! Language acquisition requires consistent memorization and utilization, or skills will quickly deteriorate. Students should be prepared to read, write, listen, and speak Spanish during each session. Everyone will walk away with access to all grammar notes, rote practice, cultural articles, and assessments for future reference.
The conversation session will cover topics from previous levels using authentic target level data, articles, images, and infographs. Please ensure that students are willing to practice their speaking skills during the entire session before signing up. We will not be covering grammar or vocabulary during the conversation session.

Schedule of Sessions
Each review session will run twice during the summer in order to meet the needs of various summer plans & vacations. Students who have already completed Spanish 1 at the middle or high school, should ONLY sign up for a Spanish 1 review session. Students who have already completed both Spanish 1 AND 2 at the middle or high school, can sign up for either or both sessions if desired. These sessions will be conducted in English with all practice in the target language.
All sessions will run Tuesday through Thursday from 11AM to 1PM.
Families can pay following registration through the Square link with Google Pay/credit card or mail a personal check. Mailing address for personal checks will be provided following registration.
Cancellation Policy: Any parent that writes to Sparks Ignited, LLC with the intention of canceling all or some of their sessions on or before June 1st, 2026, will receive a 50% refund. Any parent who cancels after June 1st, 2026 will forfeit their registration fees or can choose to move to another session during the same summer. Illness, travel, failure to attend, and technology issues are not considerations for refunds.
