1. How much does a class cost?
Each class costs $50 AUD per person, per hour.
There are no contracts, just a respectful agreement.
You can pay weekly or monthly in advance, depending on what works best for you.
2. How long is each class?
Each class is 1 hour. Some students book a second hour if they need extra support, especially at university or during exam periods.
3. Where do the classes take place?
You can choose between:
- Online classes (Zoom or WhatsApp)
- In-person classes (Bli Bli, Queensland, Australia)
4. Are classes in Spanish or English?
That depends on your level!
I adapt to your needs:
- Beginners will have a mix of Spanish and English
- Intermediate students will use mostly Spanish
- Advanced students will work in full immersion with Spanish only.
5. What kind of Spanish do you teach — Peruvian, Chilean, Argentine or Spanish (from Spain)?
I teach international or neutral Spanish — the kind that can be understood in any Spanish-speaking country. While I’m originally from Peru and may include cultural or regional examples when helpful, the focus is on a clear, standard Spanish that works everywhere.
I don’t focus on any specific country's Spanish. I teach a universal Spanish that prepares you to communicate confidently with speakers from all regions, whether you're travelling, studying, or working.
6. What ages do you teach?
I teach students aged 10 to 85 — every stage of life is a beautiful time to learn a new language!
7. How often should I take classes?
At least once a week is ideal to build consistency.
3 to 4 times a week is best for those who want to progress faster, such as university students or committed learners.
8. Do I need to bring anything?
Yes, please bring:
- Two A4 notebooks — one for class and one for homework.
- A pencil and an eraser.
- Or an erasable pen.
- Your favourite Spanish grammar book (optional — we can work with it alongside my personalised materials).
For online lessons you would need:
- A laptop or desktop computer.
- Headphones with a microphone.
- A good internet connection.
9. Do you give homework?
Always! I give personalised homework after every class. I also take the time to correct and explain your answers to help you progress.
10. When do we start speaking Spanish?
From your third lesson, we start using all the grammar and vocabulary in real conversation practice — always adapted to your level.
11. What levels do you teach?
I teach all levels — from absolute beginners (A1) to advanced and fluent speakers (C2). Every class is personalised to your needs, rhythm, and goals.
12. Do you offer discounts or packages?
At the moment, I don’t offer discounts or packages — and here's why:
Because I dedicate a lot of time and heart to every class, from preparing your personalised material to correcting your homework and making sure you feel supported every step of the way.
The value of each class reflects this commitment and the many years of experience I bring into every session.
Thank you for understanding and for valuing the work behind each lesson.
13. Can I book with a friend or family member?
Yes! I offer duo classes for two students of the same level. It’s a lovely way to learn together.
14. How do I book a class?
You can message me directly to check available times and book.
If everything works for you, we confirm your first class and start the journey together!
15. What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance.
Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged, since the time is set aside just for you.
16. Do you use a fixed method or textbook?
No — my method is personalised. I combine:
- My own original materials
- Your favourite grammar books (if you have one)
- Exercises, conversation, stories, real-life vocabulary, and cultural content
- Everything is adapted to your goals, interests, and pace.
17. Will I really learn to speak Spanish?
Yes — absolutely!
With more than 25 years of teaching experience, I’ve seen students of all ages and backgrounds reach their goals. I will guide you with clear explanations, personalised material, and a method that really works.
But your progress also depends on you. If you take time daily to review what we learn, practice your vocabulary, and stay curious and consistent, you will speak Spanish — with confidence and joy!
Together, we make a great team:
I bring the tools — you bring the heart.
18. How many hours do I need to learn Spanish?
Learning Spanish is a beautiful journey, and like any language, it takes time, practice, and consistency. The Instituto Cervantes (the official authority on the Spanish language) provides these recommended hours to reach each level:
CEFR Level Approximate Hours Needed
A1 – Beginner 90–100 hours
A2 – Elementary 180–200 hours (total)
B1 – Intermediate 350–400 hours (total)
B2 – Intermediate 500–600 hours (total)
C1 – Advanced 700–800 hours (total)
C2 – Proficient 900–1000+ hours (total)
These are just general guidelines. Some students progress faster or slower depending on how often they practice, their motivation, and their exposure to Spanish between lessons.
With regular classes (1–3 times per week), personal homework, and a good attitude, you'll be surprised how far you can go!
19. Can I learn a language if I have difficulties with concentration, anxiety, or other mental health conditions?”
Absolutely.
Everyone learns differently, and your unique mind is welcome here. If you experience challenges with focus, anxiety, or other mental health conditions, you can still learn a language—gently, at your own pace, and in a way that suits your rhythm. My approach is patient, intuitive, and personalised. Together, we’ll find methods that feel supportive and empowering for you. Language learning is not a race; it’s a journey of expression, connection, and self-trust.
20. What if I feel shy, embarrassed, or afraid of making mistakes?
That’s completely normal — and you're not alone.
Many students feel nervous when they start speaking a new language. That’s why I create a space that is safe, kind, and completely free of judgement.
Mistakes are not something to fear — they are proof that you’re learning, growing, and trying.
In our classes, we celebrate progress, not perfection.
You can take your time, ask anything, and be yourself.
I’m here to support you with patience, clarity, and a warm heart. Together, we build confidence from the inside out.
21. What makes your classes different?
I teach with my heart.
My classes are not just about grammar or rules — they’re about you: your rhythm, your goals, your way of learning.
I personalise every lesson, I create my own material, and I always adapt to what you need most.
With kindness, patience, and a big smile, I’ll guide you step by step.
This is not just language — it’s connection. It’s confidence. It’s joy.
And I’ll be with you every step of the way.
