1. How much does a class cost?
Each class costs $50 AUD per person, per hour.
There are no contracts, just a respectful agreement.
You can pay weekly or monthly in advance, depending on what works best for you.
2. How long is each class?
Each class is 1 hour. Some students book a second hour if they need extra support, especially at university or during exam periods.
3. Where do the classes take place?
You can choose between:
- In-person classes (4560 Bli Bli, Queensland, Australia)
- Online classes (WhatsApp, Google Meet, Zoom)
4. Are classes in Spanish or English?
That depends on your level!
I adapt to your needs:
- Beginners will have a mix of Spanish and English
- Intermediate students will use mostly Spanish
- Advanced students will work in full immersion with Spanish only.
5. What kind of Spanish do you teach — Peruvian, Chilean, Argentine or Spanish (from Spain)?
I teach international or neutral Spanish — the kind that can be understood in any Spanish-speaking country. While I’m originally from Peru and may include cultural or regional examples when helpful, the focus is on a clear, standard Spanish that works everywhere.
I don’t focus on any specific country's Spanish. I teach a universal Spanish that prepares you to communicate confidently with speakers from all regions, whether you're travelling, studying, or working.
6. What ages do you teach?
I teach students aged 10 to 85 — every stage of life is a beautiful time to learn a new language!
I do not teach younger children, as my method is designed for learners who have reached a certain stage of cognitive and linguistic development. My approach focuses on building understanding, structure, and self-expression — elements that become most effective from around age ten onwards.
7. How often should I take classes?
At least once a week is ideal to build consistency.
3 to 4 times a week is best for those who want to progress faster, such as university students or committed learners.
8. Do I need to bring anything?
Yes, please bring:
- Two A4 notebooks — one for class and one for homework.
- A pencil and an eraser.
- Or an erasable pen.
- Your favourite Spanish grammar book (optional — we can work with it alongside my personalised materials).
For online lessons you would need:
- A laptop or desktop computer.
- Headphones with a microphone.
- A good internet connection.
9. Do you give homework?
Always! I give personalised homework after every class. I also take the time to correct and explain your answers to help you progress.
However, if you don’t have time to complete the homework, please don’t worry. We always begin each class with a revision of previous content, so you will still keep learning and improving. I completely understand that life can get busy — my method ensures that you continue to make progress, even when you have limited time to study at home.
10. When do we start speaking Spanish?
From your third lesson, we start using all the grammar and vocabulary in real conversation practice — always adapted to your level.
11. What levels do you teach?
I teach all levels — from absolute beginners (A1) to advanced and fluent speakers (C2). Every class is personalised to your needs, rhythm, and goals.
12. Do you offer discounts or packages?
At the moment, I don’t offer discounts or packages — and here's why:
Because I dedicate a lot of time and heart to every class, from preparing your personalised material to correcting your homework and making sure you feel supported every step of the way.
The value of each class reflects this commitment and the many years of experience I bring into every session.
Thank you for understanding and for valuing the work behind each lesson.
13. Can I book with a friend or family member?
Yes, you can! I offer Duo classes for two students of the same level. It’s a lovely way to learn together and share the experience.
Please keep in mind that each person learns in their own rhythm, their own way, and their own time. When you learn with someone else, it’s important to stay flexible and open, allowing both of you the space to grow and absorb the lessons at your own pace. This creates a kind and supportive learning environment where both can flourish.
14. How do I book a class?
You can message me directly to check available times and book.
If everything works for you, we confirm your first class and start the journey together!
15. What is your cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance.
Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged, since the time is set aside just for you.
16. Do you use a fixed method or textbook?
No — my method is personalised. I combine:
- My own original materials
- Your favourite grammar books (if you have one)
- Exercises, conversation, stories, real-life vocabulary, and cultural content
- Everything is adapted to your goals, interests, and pace.
17. Will I really learn to speak Spanish?
Yes — absolutely!
With more than 25 years of teaching experience, I’ve seen students of all ages and backgrounds reach their goals. I will guide you with clear explanations, personalised material, and a method that really works.
But your progress also depends on you. If you take time daily to review what we learn, practice your vocabulary, and stay curious and consistent, you will speak Spanish — with confidence and joy!
Together, we make a great team:
I bring the tools — you bring the heart.
18. How many hours do I need to learn Spanish?
Learning Spanish is a beautiful journey, and like any language, it takes time, practice, and consistency. The Instituto Cervantes (the official authority on the Spanish language) provides these recommended hours to reach each level:
CEFR Level Approximate Hours Needed
A1 – Beginner 90–100 hours
A2 – Elementary 180–200 hours (total)
B1 – Intermediate 350–400 hours (total)
B2 – Intermediate 500–600 hours (total)
C1 – Advanced 700–800 hours (total)
C2 – Proficient 900–1000+ hours (total)
These are just general guidelines. Some students progress faster or slower depending on how often they practice, their motivation, and their exposure to Spanish between lessons.
With regular classes (1–3 times per week), personal homework, and a good attitude, you'll be surprised how far you can go!
19. Can I learn a language if I have difficulties with concentration, anxiety, or other mental health conditions?
Absolutely.
Everyone learns differently, and your unique mind is welcome here. If you experience challenges with focus, anxiety, or other mental health conditions, you can still learn a language—gently, at your own pace, and in a way that suits your rhythm. My approach is patient, intuitive, and personalised. Together, we’ll find methods that feel supportive and empowering for you. Language learning is not a race; it’s a journey of expression, connection, and self-trust.
20. What if I feel shy, embarrassed, or afraid of making mistakes?
That’s completely normal — and you're not alone.
Many students feel nervous when they start speaking a new language. That’s why I create a space that is safe, kind, and completely free of judgement.
Mistakes are not something to fear — they are proof that you’re learning, growing, and trying.
In our classes, we celebrate progress, not perfection.
You can take your time, ask anything, and be yourself.
I’m here to support you with patience, clarity, and a warm heart. Together, we build confidence from the inside out.
21. What makes your classes different?
I teach with my heart.
My classes are not just about grammar or rules — they’re about you: your rhythm, your goals, your way of learning.
I personalise every lesson, I create my own material, and I always adapt to what you need most.
With kindness, patience, and a big smile, I’ll guide you step by step.
This is not just language — it’s connection. It’s confidence. It’s joy.
And I’ll be with you every step of the way.
22. Can I bring someone with me (like my children)?
My classes are generally one-on-one to create a calm, focused, and safe learning space. I also want to share with you a little about myself: I have OCD, and my home is my small temple. This space is very sacred to me, and I function best when it is peaceful, calm, and free from distractions.
I understand that sometimes parents may need to bring their children. If that is the case, please let me know in advance.
23. What should I know about the learning space and class etiquette?
My home is a quiet space where I teach with presence, love, and care. It’s a place that holds peaceful energy, so I kindly ask every student to help me keep it calm, clean, and respectful.
Personal hygiene and care are important in my space. Please sit properly on the chairs provided, and treat the space with the same care and respect as you found it.
Come as you are, but in a state that allows you to feel comfortable, focused, and aware of the shared energy we create together. I truly appreciate when my students treat the space gently — with kindness, mindfulness, and respect.
These simple gestures help us both stay connected, grounded, and open to learning.
24. Do you take breaks or holidays during the year?
Not really! I don’t usually take holidays — teaching is something I truly love, so as long as I’m alive, I’m teaching 😄. If I ever need time off, I’ll let my students know in advance, but generally, classes continue all year round.
25. Do you teach during school or public holidays?
Yes, I do 🌞 I continue teaching during both school and public holidays.
If you or your children would like to take a break, please let me know in advance so I can manage my schedule and reschedule your classes when you return.
My timetable stays the same unless I let you know ahead of time about any planned breaks.
26. What happens if I arrive late to our class?
Please try to arrive on time so we can make the most of our hour together.
If you’re late, the class will still finish at the scheduled time to respect the next student’s session.
If you know you’ll be late, please send me a quick message — communication is always appreciated
27. What if I need to pause my classes for a while?
That’s absolutely fine — life happens!
If you need to pause your lessons for travel, study, or personal reasons, please let me know in advance.
We’ll simply adjust your schedule and reconnect when you’re ready to continue.
28. How do online classes work?
Online classes take place via WhatsApp video call (my preferred option, as you can keep the chat history and materials), Zoom, or Google Meet.
Please send a proof of transfer to our WhatsApp chat or by SMS before the lesson begins.
Connect a few minutes early to test your video, sound and connection.
Online learning is just as personal and interactive as in-person — we share materials, screens, and even laughter!
Please send your completed homework before the class starts, either as clear pictures or in a PDF file, so I can review it with you during the lesson.
29. What if I want to change my class time?
No problem — we can find another time that suits both of us.
Just let me know at least 24 hours in advance so I can adjust the schedule.
30. Do you give any official certificate for completing different levels?
No, I don’t. I am not an official school — I teach from the heart, for real communication and connection.
My focus is not on certificates, but on helping you speak, understand, and express yourself with confidence and joy in Spanish.
Every word you learn and every sentence you create is your true certificate — written in your progress, your courage, and your love for the language.
31. How far in advance can I book a class?
If you would like to book a class, please contact me about one week before your preferred date to check availability, as my time slots change regularly. I appreciate your understanding — I’m not able to book classes more than two weeks or a month in advance, as my schedule is always adjusted to best serve current students.
32. Can I buy a voucher with a specific number of classes for a friend or a family member?
Yes, of course you can! Gift vouchers are a lovely way to share the joy of learning Spanish with someone you love. Please note that there may be limited spots, so it’s always best to check availability before purchasing.
Each voucher is valid for one year from the date of purchase and can include any number of classes you wish to gift.
In case I don’t have a permanent weekly spot available for the person using the voucher, we can always find flexible times. For example, if one week there’s a class available on Monday at 2 p.m., and the following week on Wednesday at 4 p.m. or Friday at 6 p.m., the student can simply choose the time that suits them best.
33. How long do I need to keep taking classes with you?
Always remember that you are your own guide. There is no fixed time or commitment — you can take as many or as few classes as you wish. Some students come for a few lessons, others choose to continue for months or years.
As long as I can help you and you feel supported and inspired, I will be here to guide you. When you feel ready to continue learning on your own, I’ll celebrate that moment with you too. I deeply appreciate your trust, your confidence, and the time we share in your learning journey.
