¡Hola! Me llamo Lillian Jones y soy estudiante de doctorado en la Universidad de California, Davis. 

I am a PhD candidate at the University of California, Davis, in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, specializing in Spanish Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition, with a focus on educational technologies. 

My dissertation is titled "The Task is in the Text: Texting and L2 Oral Fluency", and focuses on the impact of text messaging in second language (L2) Spanish on oral fluency. 

My M.A. thesis is titled "El impacto de SMS en la producción lingüística" ("The impact of SMS on linguistic production") which explored the potential impact of SMS and textisms on writing and speaking, both in English and Spanish.
