¡Hola Chicos! Soy la Profa. Lin (Debbie). (Were you able to understand that?) I'm Debbie Lin and I am your instructor for this semester. In case you're wondering, yes, I am fully aware I look Chinese because I am (half Chinese). My first language was British English (which is what you will hear in the recordings). My father was a missionary and my family moved a lot. When I was 10, we moved to Bolivia and that is how I learned Spanish (my 3rd language). Because I spent 10 years there, Spanish became pretty much my Native Language; hence, I think primarily in Spanish. I have been teaching Spanish at College/University level since 1996 and I totally love it! I am here to help you learn this language that I adore so please, do not hesitate to communicate with me (VERY IMPORTANT) so you can succeed in this class. This is a hybrid class that meets on Mondays from 11:00 am to 1:20 pm. Attendance is required and is worth 10% of your final grade. It is not a self-paced class even though it is also a partially online class There are deadlines you must meet. We will complete our work one week at the time, and our assignments are due on Thursdays and Mondays. Make sure you plan ahead to turn in work timely.
