1) The founding Committee recognized four characteristics that best reflect the character of Souza.
**Specific statements (in the form of a typed essay) and supportive evidence of the four characteristics listed below must be submitted with the application:
service to school and community
appreciation of and commitment to the performing arts and music
unselfish commitment in relating to others
leadership which is characterized by integrity, compassion, and perseverance
All applicants are asked to be concise in their statements and limit the essay to 400 words.
2) Students should obtain one letter of recommendation from either:
one teacher by whom the applicant has been taught at Monroe-Woodbury
OR
one community member who can verify service
3) Students should also attach:
A resume which lists all extracurricular activities including any awards or accolades earned and the dates they took place.
Applications are due 3/31/2023! So don’t wait, get those applications in!
