CAPSTONE PROJECTS

MASKETIZERS

‘Maskitizers’ aim to build a highly cost-effective and efficacious way to sanitize face respirators. In our project, we used Methylene Blue Light (MBL) disinfection method. Unlike some other disinfection procedures, it did not affect the mask’s breathability, filtration, or fluid resistance, by maintaining the chemical composition of the molecular structure of the mask and keeping them safe to be reused.

TOOTHY

Toothy aims at Revolutionising oral hygiene -

a high-tech solution to poor oral hygiene. It Uses both dry heat and UV rays to kill the majority of the microorganisms found on the toothbrush. It kills the majority of E.coli (the most abundantly found bacteria on toothbrushes). This makes it chemical free and efficient.

SADAD

Our project aims to tackle the issue of drinking and driving. Drinking and driving is a major cause of death around the globe, especially in India, as there are very few measures taken to prevent such incidents. Our project makes use of a device that will be installed in cars, buses, trucks, and other road vehicles, which will detect the alcohol intake percentage and generate alarm as well, and will not allow the drunk driver to start the vehicle.

SUNFLOWER

Sunflower aims to provide a safe space for vent and rent to teenagers who go through trivial episodes in their day to day life. The app provides a space for venting, ranting, blogging, access to motivational stories and access to psychologist at times of need for teenagers going through a depression episode.

O CUBE

O-Cube is a futuristic healthcare product which combines Cubicle Spaces with an Oxygen Concentrator. The product is a useful tool for workspaces, schools and university that have employees/students who have recently recovered from COVID-19 or have any other lung disease. The Concentrator placed in the Cubicle can provide emergency support of oxygen to prevent a medical emergency.

RAK
Whether you are a student or elderly person, lifting heavy weights can be tough. So, here we present RAK. It is an autonomous robot that can carry heavy payloads in offices, home, industries etc.

It works on RFID technology , uses solar panels and has 360 degree maneuvering system.

SAKHA

The project is based on integrating miniature hardware based on Rapberry PI with Natural Language Processing to provide an education assistant to students with special needs such as students with visual and hearing impairments. The BOT is capable of answering queries based on topics of mathematics and science.

EUNOIA

Eunoia means a beautiful and well balanced mind. Our website aims to provide people with a platform that helps them keep a balance between their physical and mental health. It will be a place to help the users not just control and monitor their screen time, but also provide audience with a space to rejuvenate.

SPACE SETTLEMENT PROJECT

With Mars being on the outlook and visitors coming in from Earth the idiom "grass is always greener on the other side" has stopped making sense for us. This time in INSSDC we were challenged to make a settlement on mercury in a Lava tube and had to propose a settlement for manufacturing and researching the materials found there while housing 300 occupants.

We had to depict operations for all the basic yet crucial components of atmosphere regulation, electrical power, food production and waste/water management for our settlement. As working on a contract set for 2087 we had to automate all our operations which made human intervention minimal.

For the 300 individuals, we had to design plans for the workplaces, hubs, residential areas, communities and recreational activities to keep all onboard engaged and make it a priority to ensure that they live up to their expectations.

PSYCHOLOGY

ROOZAL , MANNAT & MADHUANISHA

GRADE:11

We conducted a research study on the topic, “Understanding the Experiences of Middle and Senior School teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic.” We wanted to understand what it was like to be a teacher teaching during the pandemic. If we were having a hard time motivating ourselves every day in social isolation away from our friends, teachers, and school, it must've been hard for them to do so themselves and also inspire their students. This topic is also important because often only students are focused on when it comes to online school, there are not many studies about the teachers’ experiences of online school. Hence, we decided to conduct such a study, because online teaching and learning are just two sides of the same coin.

GRADE: 11

This is a research study conducted on the topic ‘Understanding the experience of High School Students with Exam Stress’. We wanted to understand the student’s experiences and consequently understand our own experiences with exam stress. We chose this topic for our study as it is something we relate to on a personal level and is very relevant especially during the ongoing pandemic. Through this study we also aimed to figure out potential strategies to help students cope with exam stress.

BUSINESS STUDIES

ROOZAL & MANNAT KAUR

“Challenge negative forces with hope, self confidence and conviction. I believe that ambition and initiative will ultimately triumph.”

It might surprise you that even a multinational company that we are all familiar with, can have the humblest of beginnings.

Dhirubhai Ambani started out as just a teenager selling fried food in temples on the weekend, somehow through a desire to become successful, dedication, hard-work and just a little bit of luck turned out to be the founder of a market, a place, a company we all have heard of.

Today we will be enlightening you about everything that made Reliance, Asia’s richest family business. The past, the present and the future ; the challenges faced and conquered, the marketing strategies developed, the disputes and the relations formed.

LEGAL RIGHTS FOR ANIMALS

RASHMITA GANDHI, GAYATRI IYER, LAKSHITA SHARMA, AKSHAY BHATIA, DHRUVA BHALLA

Animal rights is a new social movement trying to achieve equal rights for animals. According to this movement, animals deserve as much rights

as humans. The defining requirement for equal rights is not knowing a language, being of certain species or having intellectual and emotional

capabilities, but the ability to suffer. If an organism can suffer - then it should get equal rights, for suffering comes both to humans and animals. The new movement focuses on this crucial aspect of society. As the SOULFEST project, we wanted to choose an important topic. Something which is important not only to humans, but to all species. Thus, we decided to go with Animal rights, a movement which aims to give animals the same rights which humans enjoy.

DESIGN THINKING PROJECTS

EMOTIONAL WELLBEING

(AADIT DUA, AARANYA CHOUDHARY, KYRA GUPTA, VARDAAN SETHI)

We have made an app named "Stress Free". It helps people under stress by providing counseling support. It is a great platform for communication as well as it has a chatting option too. We have also added educational videos to help children in their education which also decreases stress about education by offering interactive videos, study solutions, and materials.

EMOTIONAL WELLBEING

(MANTHAN VARAHNEY, PRANET PAHWA, SEONA SETHI & TVISHA GUPTA)

In this project, we used our knowledge, design, and thinking to solve problem that many children struggle with. We have come up with an app where children can make their own friends and connect with people across the world. We empathized and stepped into the life of children like Ron who are often bullied and have no friends because of their different physical appearances. By seeking help from our mentor and working in our teams, here we present an app made by us, WE CONNECT.

AI PROJECTS

AI CLUB (PAARTTH AGNIHOTRI, ARYAN MITTAL)

A deep learning based pedestrian detector has been developed. Firstly a pedestrian dataset was created with annotations. Furthermore, real viewpoints like blur, noise, zoom and black and white has been applied to the images. The deep learning detector was trained on the dataset and tests were performed for detection of pedestrians in images and a video.

AI CLUB (NEEYATI, SHAGUN & RAGHAV)

A deep neural network based hard hat detection for construction sites has been developed. Firstly, a dataset is prepared for construction sites and other high risk zones where wearing a hard hat is a mandate. Furthermore, annotations for hard hat and no hard hat with class labelling has been performed. After preparing the dataset, the deep neural network based object detector has been trainee on it and further detection of presence or absence of hard hat in images has been performed.
