Is the brainchild of a group of 5 students in the MET (Master of Educational Technology) program at UBC (the University of British Columbia). Developed as part of the course ETEC 510 (The Design of Virtual Learning Environments) the application is a result of our collective interests and love of technology, education, and language learning!
Safa's background is in English language and literature, and her professional experience is mainly in secondary school education and ESL. Through the MET program, she aspires to become a proficient LXD (learning experience designer) and harness the potential of educational technologies for the advancement of human knowledge-building.
Steve is an educator and administrator in a British Columbia Independent School, with a background in history and English language and literature. He is currently enrolled in the UBC MET program and is excited to see how the program offerings will shape his pedagogy and professional growth.
Miguel is a high school teacher from Monteverde, Costa Rica who completed his studies at Trinity Western University before joining the UBC MET program. Miguel is passionate about using technology in education and helping students discover and develop important life skills through the use of technology.
Jessica is a French Immersion middle years educator with a background in French and Drama. She is in her first year of the MET program and the University of British Columbia and eagerly anticipates utilizing the knowledge gained to positively impact the field of education.
Marina worked in a plethora of sectors before coming back to her beloved field: education. She is currently enrolled in the MET program at UBC while assisting her family farm business with planning pedagogical programs, while also teaching French online and working with a Montreal-based food photographer.
