• Data-driven Control and Analytics of the AMHS:  Analyzed the performance of material handling operations at semiconductor fabrication; developed mathematical/analytical models related to allocating storage buffer and relieving traffic congestion (2020~2021)

• Material handling automation in fabrication:  Analyzed the performance of material handling operations at semiconductor fabrication; developed mathematical/analytical models related to allocating storage buffer and relieving traffic congestion (2014~2019)

• Manufacturing optimization in electrical die sorting (EDS): Initiated the mega project in which the developed system provided the monitoring, analyzing and optimizing functions for EDS manufacturing lines. The loss of asset utilization of machines is visualized and the mathematical model provided the improved production planning (2012~2014)

• Factory layout design and improvement: As part of the Manufacturing Modeling and Simulation Analysis Research Project, developed the manufacturing simulation and analysis tool to design factory layout and improve the manufacturing operation, which had been applied in affiliated overseas manufacturing lines (2008~2013)

• Global knowledge-based digital manufacturing support system: Developed the core engine and related module for ERP/SCM system (2006~2007)

• Consulting for information technology of Korea small and medium-sized businesses: Organized the consulting consortium for small and medium-sized manufacturing firms along with local colleges and consulting firms, providing consulting services (2005)

• Development of intelligent manufacturing system: Developed the mathematical and heuristic models for the optimal supply chain network design (2004)

• Assessment system of the supply chain for the dairy product of Korea Yakult co. LTD: Suggested the optimal design of the production operations by analyzing the supply chains of distribution centers (2004)

• Assessment system for a vehicle disassembly system of Hyundai Motor: Evaluated performance of alternative designs for a vehicle disassembly system for proposing the improved new design (2004)
